Whoah! That's a long time! I guess it kind of grows on you then. :p
I read the books first, so I was kind of disappointed how they changed it. I kind of had a bonding with the books. I love them soooo much, everytime I read it I want to be able to live back then. lol :p

I learned to read with Little House.:p I read when I was 4 because I wanted to so much...and they were my first readers.I still love them though.:)I always wanted to go to where she lived.:)

I was sooooo close to going to DeSmet (sp?) once! We were traveling through South Dakota, and just missed it! :( Maybe next time.....
They are good books, though. It's weird how you kind of get connected with the Ingalles after reading the books. :p

Aw... I've never gotten to go out west..I want to so much..:(
Did you read the sequel books they wrote,with Rose and the others?I liked some of them.althoguh not as much as the ones Laura Ingalls trully wrote.
I have this neat book called "Laura Ingalls Wilder Country".It shows pictures of the real people from the books,the places she lived,things she owned,ect..even the China Shepartess..(sp?)...I really like it.

I read The First Four Years, but I don't think I've read any of the sequels by Rose.
I've never heard of the book, but I do have a collection of pictures of them. :D Almanzo's picture is the one I always use in my "vintage" wallpapers. :p
I have never seen a picture of the China Shepherdess, but I so want to. :D Do you think you can get a scan of it?
