Riddles

A horse is tied to a 10 ft. rope, yet it manages to walk to the stack of hay that is 15 ft. away, how is this possible?
 
i've got one!

you're walking to the city, and you come to a fork in the road. there is no signage so you don't know which path to take to get to the city. you aren't carrying anything except a water bottle...so no map. at this fork there are two houses, in which two familes live. one family always tells the truth, and one family always lies, but you don't know which family lives in which house.

what question would you ask to each family to find out the way to the city? you can only ask each family one question, it has to be the same question that you asked to the other family.

well, i prolly already posted this riddle but since i cant figure out the answer and i dont have time to read everything, and since this thread needs to be revived, im gonna post another one:



would you rather a shark eat you or a squid?
 
i would rather not be eaten by either one....but i guess if i had to say something i'd take the chance and say shark cause a shark would just get it over with....i don't know....it's late...i blame the time for me not thinking too well lol

lol too many people are posting riddles without wating for people to answer them...so im just gonna telll the answer to mine...cuz im bored and i cant figure the answers to the other ones...

answer: a squid.


know why? ok, go back and read the riddle. this is how it would be said for it to be easy to figure it out: would you rather a shark eat YOU, or a squid? meaning, what do you want the shark to eat? YOU? or the squid? :D
