Riddles

Two cops walked into a room with no windows and found a dead man who obviously hung himself from the ceiling, though they couldn't figure out how. There was no chair beneath him that he might have jumped off of, or a table. Just a puddle of water. How'd he do it??

He stood on a giant Ice cube and it melted. :D

What's black when you buy it, red when you use it, and grey when you throw it away?

I'll give this a try (generally I'm no good with riddles, but here goes):

What's solid when you get it,
Liquid after you've used it,
And completely gone when you're done with it?

try this one: Three guys walk into town. They go into a hotel and ask for a room they can share. The clerk has just the thing they want for thirty dollars. The clerk sends them to the room, takes out the ledger, and realizes that he made a mistake. The room costs only twenty-five dollars. Now he has to divide five dollars evenly three ways. Can't be done. So the clerk pockets two dollars, tells the guys that he made a three dollar mistakeand gives them each a single. Now, each man paid only nine dollars for his share of the room. Nine times three equals twenty seven, plus the two in the clerk's pocket equals twenty nine. Where's the other dollar?

They did not only pay $9 for the room each. the clerk only pocketed $2. So that means that 30 minus 2 equals 38. 28 divided by 3 is 9 1/3.
