Science trivia

Ok, I thought it might be fun to have a science trivia thread. Everybody answers the question above them, and then posts a new one, just like all the other trivia threads. You can post a question concerning any of the physical sciences - Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, and Earth Science. And please - no impossibly hard questions. (that means you, Dernhelm! :D) So no crazy stuff that you learned after acquiring a Ph.D in physics.

I'll start:

Name the 8 (yes, I know it used to be 9) planets of our Solar System.

It takes ten minutes for light to travel the 93 million miles from the Sun to the Earth. How long does it take sunlight to reach Neptune, the farthest true planet?

Hint: Divide the distance from Neptune to the sun by the distance from Earth to the sun. Multiply that number by 10 minutes and you'll get the number of minutes.

That sounds like a nightmare... But no one answered the first question, so I will. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter, Saturn...

Here's a question... What is the order of Biological classification from broadest class to most specific? (*hint* It starts with Kingdom, and the last one is Species.):D

I think I got it...

Kingdom
Phylem
Class
Order
Family
Genus
Species

What is making global warming happening??? (hint: it's a technical name that has to do with plants):D

Yup! 'Cept...I think it's 'Phylum...' It's been a while since I did Biology, though. :p

Anyhow, I think you're probably looking for 'Greenhouse Effect,' right? Although not everyone agrees on Global Warming, so it's a dangerous subject, hehehe...

Anyhow, let's see. Oh, I know...this isn't terribly scientific, but it has to do with science I guess... What does "Beetle Juice" refer to? (Hint: It has to do with astronomy)

ORIONS ARMPIT STAR!!!!! lol, I love the astronomy questions:D I'm amazing at astronomy :p

Ok... hmmmm what is the scientific name for a wolf (NO LOOKING IT UP!!) (hint: wolves are realted to dogs)

Um...canis...think, you know this Shiz you are a vet in training....canis lupos something like that?
