Science trivia

Hmmm...the digestive system doesn't remove waste...it breaks down nutrients into sugars for your body...The resperatory system gets rid of waste from your blood cells by using resperation.
You did get me on the skin one. I knew the system had something to do with skin...

And the answer for mine was Hemoglobin.

Name the Father of genetics. ( Hint: His first name starts with a 'G')
Yes... the digestive does get rid of waste... lol... feecese (sp?)

I'll ask a question...let's see... Which is a hadron; an electron, or a proton?

(That's not impossibly hard, is it? And, BTW, I don't have a Ph.D in physics, Olorin. :p)

Because it consists of two perpendicular waves, one in an electric field, the other in a magnetic field.

LoL, the 4th fundamental force is gravity. :p

Ok, here's one for SW since she's such an astronomy buff: What is Cygnus X-1?

Antimatter is matter composed entirely of antiparticles. Such matter would be the same as ordinary matter, aside from the fact that each atom would be composed of 'anti-protons' (protons made of anti quarks) 'anti-neutrons' (ditto), and anti-electrons (otherwise known as 'positrons', though this is not a good name for them, as the word 'positive' isn't spelled with an r, and all the other anti particles are simply called anti-suchandsuch). Anyway, anti particles are identical to normal particles except for their charge. Their charge is equal and opposite. There are some particles that have no charge, and are their own antiparticle; such as the photon. But particles that are neutral, but composed of other, non-neutral particles, (such as the neutron) aren't – as they are made either of quarks, or anti quarks.

Hope that made sense... :p

Why are scientists looking for dark matter?

Because...they want...to create an enormous hoax... Seriously, I dunno. I dunno what the stuff even IS.:D

How does one balance a chemistry equation?

Scientists are loking for dark matter because they want to find a solution for all the mass in the universe which they can't find, right?

I don't know the answer to LoL's question... but I haven't techincally taken Chemistry yet....
