Simon Curtis as Caspian? Opinions please! :)

Look. I'm sure we have all heard of someone who has tried for the part of PC or has been rejected or something. Obviously when he's cast it will be made public fairly quickly and the dancing lawn wouldn't let a wannabe trample over it and walk straight into the part without some suspicion or media interest.... Having said all that, the casting continues under the veil of secrecy and he ain't blonde despite the book. The mantra i repeat: talldarkhandsome... ;)

its a strange thing isn't it? This whole casting procedure is a bit of a lottery in that they send out a brief of what they are looking for and wannabes try to conform to that, or not, but still they know exactly what they want and seem to be waiting for the right guy to fill Caspy's shoes. No interviews with producers and no, I am not a wannabe in case you wondered. Just know of a few likely lads, shall we say... all of whom are talldarkhandsome...;-)

Mediterranean??? What?? I don't know how someone from the Mediterranean can be Caspian...I always pictured him as the Birtish kind of guy.
 
Well I support you :) I imagine Caspian blonde but if he's going to have dark hair you'd be perfect. I also like the Idea of having somone who's a big fan of the books. I hope you get the part.
 
Caspian does have blonde hair, as said in VoTD, Golden Hair. but, they make twists to movies sometimes.

(Trying to figure out how I missed this thread when it started....)

I agree with TN. Based on what has been reported regarding what they're looking for in Caspian, it looks like you'd fit it well. I think it would be better to have someone who is an amazing fan of the books in the role as opposed to an actor who just wants a job...even if they are talented. I think a fan would be more apt to work harder and try to make sure that they'd get everything right. Anyone who has been on the fan forums long enough like Simon has on here and NarniaWeb, would know what the fans are looking for and would find out what Andrew would want later...it sounds like he'd be good at incorporating it all into one awesome performance.

Simon I hope that you will get the role. Don't forget all of us later though. Come back and post if you can. We're all proud that you got the audition. You've got a great portfolio there. I hope that things will go well for you. Let us know soon what happens. Either way we're proud of you!
