Actually, it isn't. People have been stealing copper wires from a lot of things for quite a while...

I recently played with an iPad at Best Buy last Friday; I have to say, it's pretty cool! It's like a big iPhone or something, but I don't think I'd want one for myself. It was pretty cool though. And I love touch screens. :D

I don't know about the iPads. They seemed to me to be just one giant (and expensive) picture frame and book reader. That was it. They have no flash player (which you need to view most websites) and it had no (and probably still doesn't have) usb ports so you could not connect any of the most common devices in the market. I would not buy one unless you can do ANYTHING you want.

I didn't really look at it thoroughly, but it didn't have much on it....I'd rather have a good laptop instead of something like that. It's a lot easier to type papers on a laptop. ;)

Well, now that I have my new smart phone (Evo4G), I haven't used my iPod Nano in a while. All my music is now in the phone, as it is an awesome phone to play music. I also have a couple of music videos in it and some of my favorite Doctor Who episodes.

And talking about iPods, I don't see the logic in making the iPod Nano smaller (the newest generation) as opposed to the the previous ones. Now it looks like a "shuffle" so I don't like them anymore.

The screens are already small enough on the nanos, why in the world would you make them any smaller???? What genius came up with THAT one?!

My iPod has been acting fine for now...it actually decided not to act up on me.

I'm keeping Eustace, my old Nano (yes, his name is Eustace). It's nice and purple and it's big enough for what I need. Only problem is, I haven't used it at all since I bought my new phone. Poor Eustace!:p

I have an Ipod touch, and absolutely love it...I would love to get an iphone. :) My mom has an HTC Hero, through Cellular South, but it's the same as the Sprint Hero...that is the worst phone we have ever had. It lags, it force-closes everything, it drops the internet, etc...don't get one of those! lol We're planning on upgrading to the new Samsung Galaxy S in a week or so, as soon as it comes out. It looks fantastic! :)

I think the problem with the Hero may be the slow processor. Most applications require a lot of power to run some features. When there's not enough juice to make them go, they freeze so the phone has to force close them to free the processor for other things like actually BEING A PHONE!!! LOL.

I hope you like your iPhone when you get it. But let me tell you, the last time I compared with my friend who got the iPhone, he said "WOOOOOO The screen in you phone is HUGE!!!! so I just said "Yep.":)

Yep, I think you're right...it's only got a 500mhz processor. Ours doesn't even do very well being a phone! You can touch "call", and you might wait several minutes for it to even dial. And it loses people from your contact list, won't answer a call, and all kinds of crazy stuff. We're stuck with a contract for another year, so it'll be a while before we can get an iphone. :(

Maybe there are too many apps running in the background. Have her install an app killer and see if that improves the performance. Sometimes, some real useful apps have to wait until the phone closes stuff running in the background. The Advanced Task Killer (ATK) is a good one to use. But if she is already using a Task Killer, maybe she should uninstall it see if the phone actually kills the tasks that are not in use. Try that.

ATK is available in the Market or through the other front company, Appbrain where I usually get my apps from.
