According to the leaked script, when Jack doesn't get the chance to stab Davy Jones' heart, Will does it, and in doing so, becomes the new eternal captain of the Flying Dutchman. However, I think it's wrong.

Hmmmm....if you read the rumors they want to get rid of Will Turner his character it might be true but I will hate it if it does. Will belongs to the story and he must stay in it. Maybe Will wants to save his father so badly he is ready to sacrifice his whole life for it.
Again...I will hate it when they are going to get rid off Will. I am not a keira Knightley fan but she must stay in PotC also. She is part of it.

He is also humble. I like that about him. He's not overly confident. But he is brave, and he risks his life to save the ones he loves.
