Y'know what, Dayhawk? Your friendly invitation made me realize that it's been _years_ since I did any roleplaying. I'm 56 years old, retired from the U.S. Navy, and twice a widower (as long-time TDL members already know), so I have plenty of discretion about my schedule. Therefore, since I don't see anyone else taking the job, I will offer to be your big brother, Peter the Magnificent.

Thanks for joining us Copperfox :D

oh Im really sorry:(And thats good ppl on here helped you through it!

But hey only one more person to go til we can start! We need to find your husband! lol:D

Perhaps we could _attract_ more "actors" by _starting_ with what we have. After all, every character doesn't have to be present in every scene. We could start with one of us "arriving" from someplace, telling the others what he or she has just been doing. This could, hopefully, be made entertaining enough that more will want to join; then their characters could "enter the room."

Very true, but idk I kinda still want an edmund...well I'll give it a day and we'll see. If theres no ed then I'll start it off.

No need to be enticed: I have come! Now where is that brother of mine, the High King?

Here I am, Ed! I couldn't sleep yet; so, since the game hasn't really begun yet, let me share openly some of what comes to my mind concerning it.

Because Mr. Lewis didn't get around to inventing the realm of Archenland until after he had written LWW and the books featuring Caspian, it's guesswork figuring just how continuous was the existence of that country. But it can't have been entirely destroyed during the reign of Jadis, or else it could not have been referred to in HHB as friendly with Narnia "time out of mind." Mrs. Pevensie has not yet said--at least, not to me--how she plans to introduce herself into the plotline; but if she hasn't planned otherwise, I think it would be reasonable to say that her character was born in Archenland within the last six or seven years before Jadis was destroyed. Thus the Mrs. Pevensie character would have lived her childhood in an exciting time, as human civilization was being restored in the northern part of the Narnian world. Perhaps her father was of Narnian stock, and so was among the very first humans to enter Narnia when it became possible to do so and live. In dialogues in the roleplay, she could make up her own "memories" of growing up in this period. Her first encounter with the Pevensies would have happened while she was still much too young to think of marriage; but her family being early returnees from exile would ensure continued contact with the royal siblings, making a marriage to Edmund more conceivable.

Excellent idea, my Royal Brother! Let us do so! And, are we to expect that the fair Mrs. Pevensie will agree to this proposal? A fair maiden from Archenland is always welcome to the Royal House!

No, we have not yet started. As originator of this RP, Dayhawk is entitled to decide the initial scene.

I do have a suggestion, which can be followed or ignored.

I imagine Lucy and Peter in the main courtyard of Cair Paravel. Peter has his helmet on and is holding his shield; Lucy has Susan's bow. I suggest that last bit because "The Horse and His Boy" shows that Susan took far less interest in warlike things when she grew to adulthood, while Lucy took up archery. They are doing something which I imagine Peter as having made a regular drill for himself. Lucy has a quiver full of non-lethal arrows--tipped with rubber or something like that--and is trying to hit Peter with them, while he tries to block each arrow with his shield. Obviously, an exercise in battlefield survival. One advantage of this opening is that any number of other characters can wander in and comment while this is going on.

NOTE: in the event that this idea IS used, I don't mind if SOME of Lucy's arrows get past the shield and hit Peter; but I will NOT tolerate a manifestation of the politically-correct "Girls are omnipotent goddesses and boys are hopeless dweebs" attitude. If (assuming this opening is used at all) it is not agreed that Peter does block MOST of the arrows, you're going to need someone else to play Peter. Nothing personal.

I think thats a good idear. And any king worth his salt will of cource save most of them. And if she is hitting the sheild then it shows they are both competent..
