OCC: Here is Sienna’s Parents Piece. =) Just a reminder...Sienna’s father originally wanted her to marry Prince Edward of the East Kingdom. So here we go!
IC:
“Sohpia, don’t you think it would be a great arrangement?” King Anthony said with a beaming smile at his wife.
“Anthony, I don’t know. I don’t think she is suited for him, something about him just doesn’t click with her.”
“What are you talking about Sophia?! Edward is the very image that Sienna should marry. And his Kingdom...well that is another thing she should consider.”
“Anthony, that isn’t what she is going to be thinking about. Don’t you want your only daughter to be happy?”
“She is happy, I see the way her smile looks when she is with Edward.”
Sophia walked to her husbands chair and smiled.
“Now, lets think logically about this dear. I really like Rigel for her. There is something about him that I find just...perfect for her. His personality is much better than Edward’s that is without a doubt.”
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Carlotta stepped in and curtsied to her King and Queen. “There is a messenger sent here from Prince Rigel for you your Majesties.”
“Send them in,” the King said waving his hand and standing from his large chair.
The messenger walked in silently and thanked Carlotta with a nod of his head.
“Your Majesties. I have been sent here by Royal Orders of Prince Rigel, to inform you of the engagement of your daughter Sienna to the soon to be King - Rigel.”
Sophia’s face turned into a beaming smile, from one ear to the other. Her fathers on the other hand,
“You’re joking...” He said under his breath.
“Ummm...No your Majesty. They have sent me to tell you to pack your finest and to be on your way for the wedding.” The Messenger said, clearly a little nervous to tell the King he was wrong.
“Thank you my dear man! Please go to the kitchens and have anything you like!” Sophia cried as she ecstatically hugged the messenger.
The messenger bowed to both and then left the room swiftly.
“I wont allow it Sophia.” Anthony said, hostility in his voice.
“You think she did this on purpose, just to anger you? Anthony are you blind? She never liked Edward, darling she did it to please you when he was here. I could always tell that Rigel and her were going to lead to greatness. Why are you so unhappy about this marriage?” Sophia asked her husband as she flitted around the room with excitement.
“Why would she defy me like this?! She knew the things I wanted of her...to marry the man I thought was suited for her! Like everyone else’s well behaved daughters do.” Anthony said.
“You are joking aren’t you? Anthony this isn’t like it used to be with us. You’re parents and mine are just happy that we got along.” Sophia chuckled. “Sienna is free to make her own choices now. This isn’t the stone age!”
Anthony looked at his wife out of the corner of his eyes “Are you calling me old?!” He laughed.
Sophia began to laugh.
“Of course...not. But Anthony, really think about this. Could you live the rest of your life knowing your daughter was unhappy?”
“Maybe...the size of the East Kingdom got to me. And...well I’m NOT entirely happy about this arrangement. But then again I haven’t seen Rigel in quite some time, and the last time was only for a brief day. Don’t sit on your high horse thinking I am happy with this Sophia...because I’m not.” Anthony said.
Sophia smiled at him and kissed his cheek. “I’m so sure...now go get packed we have to go!”OCC: There! So Mr. Anthony there...just thinks about money, land and everything else a greedy King would think of
. But HA We all like Rigel better and he has to learn to like it!
