When Arcturus saw the King, he bowed down and said:
"Your Majesty, I have done the work you sent me to do. I am ready to help Destiny recover."
"Your Majesty, I have done the work you sent me to do. I am ready to help Destiny recover."
Destiny lie still dreaming. She fealt something against her lips and a warm sensation stir through her. NOt only her body but her soul.Arcturus entered the room and saw the Doctor there again, helping destiny. He moved slowly and saw destiny still laying there with no change since he last saw her. The only thing different was that Destiny now had a curious red line across her forehead. He didn’t even get angry this time. Instead, he knelt beside her and said a little prayer. Then, he pulled the vial containing the Fire Flower’s elixir out of his vest pocket and stared at it. The liquid inside it still shone like melted gold.
He opened the lid and placed the vial about a centimeter above Destiny’s pale lips. The liquid began to pour very slowly. To Arcturus it looked like raw honey, only thicker and brighter.
A drop fell
A miniature explosion seemed to flash in Destiny’s lips where the drop touched.
Another
The same little explosion, only this time, Destiny moved and seemed to sigh. And to make sure, Arcturus held the vial over her lips for a little longer.
A third drop
This time Arcturus saw (and felt himself) this warm light begin to race, slowly at first but soon gaining speed, from Destiny’s lips to the rest of her body.
A marvel of marvels happened as the light reached Destiny’s forehead. The red mark immediately burned up and disappeared. Destiny’s skin was the color of Ember and it looked as radiant as the rest of his face. It was obvious to Arcturus that this flower not only will bring back Destiny from the spell of the shadow being, but it will also deliver her from any other evil spell. The power of the fire flower was something that Leila and that other evil shadow had not counted on.
Arcturus smiles. His Destiny was waking up, free and whole, as if nothing had ever happened to her. There were no spells, no red marks, either on her body or her spirit. She was the Destiny he saw and fell in love with, but this time she looked even more radiant, more alive.
