The Last Picture Show

This one is amazing. I literally gasped when I saw it. The coloring and manipulation is simply fantastic.

You have impressive skills. o.o The whole scene breathes calm and magic and the whisper of leaves. I love it. ^.^

When I first saw this, I thought it was something out of VotDT. You MADE it?! Awesome. xD It feels like something out of an epic poem, a hero's saga.

These feel like something out of a symphonic gothic metal music video. Epic and sweeping and gritty. (And that was intended to be a compliment. xP)

These are incredible. I adore the concept, and you carried it out splendidly. Both, particularly the first, have a magical quality.

Old Buggy

Thank you for all your compliments Celebrilomiel. I am glad you liked my work. I am proud of all of those seeing that just about a month ago my photoshop skills consisted of a smattering of brushes and textures applied randomly to photos... I was always wishing I could be as good as some of the graphic makers around here, including you. I hope I get there someday!

That river scene I made it using the following photo. Note the different coloring and sky and the absence of waterfalls. The photo by itself is gorgeous enough without having to manipulate it, but the possibilities are endless.

Like the music of Nightwish? I think you're right. I like that.

Now check out my last one. It's called, what else? Old Buggy. Again, I used precise techniques learned from my Filipino Sensei Michael V. Manalo. The old bug is a photo that he made available from his private stock exclusively for this creation. I like it a lot.

In my opinion, you, MissReep, and QLTV are the best! No offence to anyone else. and I am being 100% serious BK! I LOVE all of your styles!

Great job on the bug ;)

You've come a long way for just a month!
Yes, indeed! The original inspiring too. ^.^ Could you tell me where you found it? I'd like to use it.

Yes! Like Nightwish or Epica or Within Temptation. ^.^

Ooh, nice. It's cool. I like the warms tones.

The original is right here. Make sure you read the rules for using it. I had to modify my original post and link it to my DeviantArt page because the rules don't allow posting it outside of DA. I'm glad you asked because I was violating the rules and didn't know about it.

My version of that River Scene is found in my DeviantArt Gallery. Thanks.

Thank Anne!

Wow! I got really busy these past 3-4 days at work and haven't even opened Photoshop! But I have 3 more manips I've been working on. I am actually doing Halloween theme since it's October now so expect a few of those. All family friendly of course!

Here's a bit of info about my work. Usually I follow tutorials by master artists to do my work, however, I change some of the elements or characters and in some instances I add stuff that wasn't even in the tutorial. The reason for that is that if others are following the same tutorial (which many other people do), my manipulations will be unique. This is the reason why you see that most of them are Doctor Who related; because that sets my manipulations apart from the rest!

In other news... sometime towards the end of October I'll post a non-retouched (or even touched) close up photo of my young friend with the yellowy eyes so you can see how rare (and awesome) they are!

EDIT: more news:
My favorite YouTube rocker Mat Graham (ArtificialFear) won the contest to have his solo guitar featured in a song by a great rock band: Staind

You can see and hear Mat play his rift HERE over Staind's single. Mat is the one with the GREEN SHIRT LADIES!!!

THIS is my favorite song from Staind. I'm sure some of you have heard it before (clean lyrics).

Thanks for clicking! :)

Pumpkin Jack Treat

I am going to experiment using clickable thumbnails when I post my work. That way I don't have to make a re-sized version to post here. Most of my images will work with Photobucket so you'll have no problems downloading the original size. If I make a very large size not supported by PB's free account, I will upload it to my DevianArt page where you'll be able to download the original size. This next one is only on Photobuckt right now.

I wanted to Title it "Pumpkin Jack Trick" but my Spanish accent was making my tongue stumble at the transition from Jack to Trick, LOL! Somehow the vowel sounds in "Treat" are easier than "Trick". Crazy, I know. The original size is 1000x1000px.

EDIT: Boy, that's annoying! PB resized it to 800x800 so go to my DV account (linked above) to see and download the full size. I am seriously considering paying for the pro account at PB, partly because I want to remove limits and because I'd like to support them since they really offer a great service that we've been using for free and have taken it for granted.

I really like that, it's very cool.

Everything That Ever Hated You

Yup, it's true. Most of these guys came over in 10,000 battleships when the Doctor was locked inside the Pandorica (and still they weren't enough). If you don't know what I'm talking about, you better start watching Doctor Who. Make sure you ask a fan how to watch the episodes or you'll be sorry!!!

Download the full size HERE at my DA page. Click on thumbnail to preview.

Bolero of Fire II

I really like the last one!!
Thanks Anne.

I don't know if anyone remembers how I said that when I got more skilled I would make another version of the Bolero of Fire? Well, I just tried another version. This time it's completely different, but I like it a lot. It's wallpaper size downloadable from both DeviantArt and MediaFire

The Bolero of Fire is such an awesome tune but it's only about 20 seconds long. Thankfully, YouTubers have uploaded tons of remixes that last a lot longer. If you like it, search for Bolero of Fire Remix and you'll get tons of choices.

Skycoaster

Here's my new one. I hope it looks cool. I made this one entirely on my own without looking at tutorials or anything. I applied a lot of what I've been learning from serious artists. This was to see how I'm doing at photomanipulations. I hope the entire composition is pleasing to the eye. As usual, the full size is at my DeviantArt page. It's the perfect size for a wallpaper.

P.S. When I found out that the name of the model walking on the roller coaster is Wendy, I thought maybe I should have named it "Wendy in The Sky With Coasters" LOL!

I Can Weather The Storm

That's awesome! :D The lighting with the girl is a little bit dark, but other than that, it's perfect!

I can't argue with you. You have great eye for art. Thanks for letting me know that. I think it was bothering me too. The truth is, I forgot one easy technique for making her dress lighter (she was darker than the whole scene). I remembered later and made a second version that I also posted in my DA account. How does this version look?

And now, my newest one is the first in what I hope will become my "Emotions" series. This one is called I Can Weather The Storm. It is also over at my DA Gallery where you can download the larger size.
