The Last Picture Show

I really, really like "The Rescue"! The photoshopping is excellent, and it's a very artistic take on a common idea. :D

Photography too!

Thanks Ms. D. I like that one too.

Like I mentioned before, I have a few more graphics started but haven't gotten around to finish. I'm taking a break for now because it's close to the holidays and I'm busy at work. In the meantime, I'm going to show some of the photos I've taken lately.

In 2003, I took a photography class and loved it. I did learn a lot, but I never actually pursued photography, even as a hobby...until recently. I don't have a professional camera (saving $$ for that) but it's like they say: the best camera is the one you have with you when there's an opportunity for a shot. So with that in mind, I took the following pictures with my PHONE CAMERA (HTC Evo 4g phone with 8mp camera).

These were taken at dusk last week at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, CA.

these are really well done! Great job!

Pretty nice! For a camera on a phone, they are REALLY good! I like the tilts you had, not too drastic but it gives it a cool effect, this is my fav: http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g144/michaeldel/My Photography/IMAG0275.jpg

As for a camera, I'd suggest this one: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/digital_cameras/powershot_elph_300_hs

We got it for about $200, and its SO nice! Not as nice as one of the big ones, but for how small and handy it is, its takes AMAZING pics! Try reading about some of the features! I'm sure it has over 100. If you're planning on spending more than that, then I would say get another one though.

That is a nice camera hyper, and it takes great photos, however I am looking for something more like these two:

http://www.amazon.com/Canon-60D-3-0...=sr_1_6?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1321607438&sr=1-6

http://www.amazon.com/Pentax-K-5-Di...=sr_1_2?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1321607440&sr=1-2

I like the Pentax better because I'm a fan of Pentax rather than Canon. And the Pentax is made out of Magnesium alloy. Why do I need a camera made out of Magnesium alloy you ask? I don't, really. It just sounds cool! :D

By the way, I also liked the photo you picked as your favorite. The camera captured the magenta tinted clouds of the fading sunset. They color is also reflected in the water. Can you see it? Such a cool shot. I'm glad I had my phone with me. The camera is one of the best in a phone.

A quick photography update:

Here are two more photos I took with my phone camera. I took those almost at the same exact spot while driving  northbound on the 57 freeway near a city called San Dimas by the Covina exit. One was taken in the summer and the other one last winter just as the first snows came. These are the San Gabriel Mountains and I believe the highest peak you see is called Mt. Baldy and it has a great sky area up there.

I was holding the phone with one hand (the other on the steering wheel). I was able to keep it steady because my phone has a kickstand that pops out which allowed me wrap my fingers around it for a firm grip (don't try that at home kids).

What ya think?

Very nice! I think you should crop the highway out so you can JUST see the mountains. great quality and steadiness for a phone camera!

The Girl With The Yellowy Eyes

myeyes.jpg

Remember that graphic from page 1? That's my friend, the girl with the yellowy eyes.

Yesterday I took a couple of pictures of her because she looked stunning with her new hair color! The first one is the original and the second one is a crop so as to get a close up of her eyes. There is a third one from a different angle where you can plainly see how yellow her eyes are.

The reflection in her eyes is of course me taking her photo!
By the way, with that hair color and that plaid shirt she reminded me of certain someone. See a bit of resemblance?

Photos will be deleted tho. My friend gave me permission to post them for no later than Christmas but I'll try to talk her into letting me keep them longer.

All photos taken with my phone!

Please Come With Me

Ok, I'm back in business! I just completed this one for my "Emotions" series. I have two more in the works that I'll be posting soon. Check this one out. The beautiful model's name is Miranda. What do you think? It can be downloaded in a larger size at my DeviantArt account. Link in siggy.

Ooh I got some competition :p

SO I give it a 9-10. BUT What exactly did YOU do with it?

My complaint would be that the backround looks more HDish then the actual girl

Can't wait to see more! You have a different style, and you do allot of different stuff then most people, and I enjoy it!

That's awesome! The lighting on her face seems a little bit different than the lighting in the background, but it's gorgeous nonetheless. :D

This one is awesome, I like the colors.
