The Last Picture Show

Ooh I got some competition :p

SO I give it a 9-10. BUT What exactly did YOU do with it?

My complaint would be that the backround looks more HDish then the actual girl

Can't wait to see more! You have a different style, and you do allot of different stuff then most people, and I enjoy it!

Well, you can see one of the images I used to make it here, Can you see the changes?

That's awesome! The lighting on her face seems a little bit different than the lighting in the background, but it's gorgeous nonetheless. :D
Ms D. As always thank you for the comments. Unfortunately, Photobucket resizes the images and I think it affects the lighting and composition. You can see the original image in a larger size at my DA account or here, at my MediaFire account (click on "large"). You'll see that the lighting on her face matches the overall lighting better.

Thanks also to Anne and Vanessa for the comments!

More coming soon.

Find Me

I know why I titled this one "Find Me." I just can't explain it! So here it is, my weirdest work yet.

Now you can see a bigger size in Photobucket. Yay!

Interesting/intriguing!

8-10

I like your darker style (the ground for example)

the two things that were off for me were: 1. The position of the girl in the picture didn't match that of the person outside. 2. The girl in the picture didn't match the suit coat to me at all.

Although these sound like major problems, they really aren't! I love EVERYTHING else (including the title)

Great work!

Lol! Actually hyper, they aren't supposed to match. That is part of the point of the picture, along with other more abstract thoughts an ideas. For example, look at the picture below by popular Russian digital artist Evgenij Soloviev: To say that the picture in the link below is wrong because there isn't any electrical outlet anywhere nearby would be to miss the whole point altogether.

I tend to be abstract in thought usually. I REALLY liked the idea of the frame one, just some of the positioning threw me off.

As for the Monkey one, I'd give that one 8-10 as well. I like abstract pictures that have a little more of a point to them. But tell me how: Ipods, TV's, Microwaves, and other electronics relate to a monkey, or even business cloths. ask the same question about the monkey head. I prefer pictures that are random and creative, but have a point and relate to something.

This: http://www.socwall.com/desktop-wallpaper/15082/microscopical-abstraction-by-unknown-artist/
for example. They took a spider web picture (which is an amazing background pic) and put words in it. Now you can take this two ways:

Words and a spider web? Thats stupid.
OR
Words in a spider web! Thats kind of genius! I wonder what it says? (so the words MAKE sense because they have a point! and it makes you think!)

Alice

LOL! LOL!

ahem! Ok, here is my version of Alice in Wonderland... well, she's not exactly there yet but you know what I mean. There is no ambiguity in this one for sure.:D

I pretty much have all the PS technical stuff down. What I still lack is more creativity and color and composition skills. I'll get there soon I hope.

I love your Alice in Wonderland picture. It is really awesome and well done. It brings back the images of me reading the book and when Alice starts falling through the magical rabbit hole.

Ok, here is my version of Alice in Wonderland...

Very nice

I like the whole idea! The objects are perfect. THEY MAKE SENSE! LOL.. anyhow one complaint would be that some of the objects LOOK photoshopped in (namely the rabbit and tophat. The cards look great). I know they are, but they shouldn't look so (I'm pretty sure feathering the edges helps).

Anyhow, I like the overall idea and it was carried out great! A suggestion would be, to add more life to it, by making her dress red. It would make your eyes go IMMEDIATELY to Alice and black, white, and red is a GREAT color scale!

Great work ;)

8-10

Thank you for the comments! And thank you Narnia_bookworm for visiting my thread and posting. I just wanted to show you the image I used for the background on Alice. You can see it here.

Ok, so I stole the title from lyrics to the song Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer. I have my reasons, believe me. Take this as my amateurish attempt at Visual Poetry... if you want.

Ooooh I missed this one. Here's what I think:

*after much decision* 9-10

I LOVE the color scale! Very creative, and it DEFINITELY gets you thinking! The quality of the kid and the background is the same which I also LOVE. I like whatever's coming through the clouds! It MAKES the picture. Because it give the kid a perfect pose, and you first look at the kid and look and where he is looking, at you actually DO see something! I love it!

I just tediously studied again. Is the child watching a space shuttle blasting up through the clouds? That is what it looks like when I zoom in. Or a rocket or whatever it is called. Or to make myself sound dumber than I am, one of those things NASA sends into space that cost billions of dollars?

*Looks again*

Looks like a star or orb to me. Your guesses are as good as mine!

and do you mean a satellite? (picture listed in link)

Wow! The famous (or is it infamous?) Kayla visits my thread! Wooo! Well, thank ye, lass! I'm happy you came here to visit and comment. Same with you Achlee! :)

By the way, it is a launch but what kind of launch? I am not really sure if it's the Shuttle, or a missile or just a rocket with payload. Whatever it is the questions are: What's the purpose? where is it going? what's in it? is it because of war? a peaceful project? is it going to space? to another planet? what? but most importantly, will GG eat it before it reaches it's destination? uh?

See? those are tough questions to ponder as you see the child swinging from.... what? I say....WHAT?
