(ooc: Ok, we need to know how to call her: I called her Queen Ygerna, you say Igraine, we both are right as she is known by both names. What shall we use)

IC:
"Do you know my mother and her sister."

Before exiting the gates of Camelot, Merlin spoke words of protection against evil over the whole castle, and over the person of Arthur. Then he departed, for the Saxons would not wait. Seldom did perils come only one at a time.

Calling on all his power of speed, the wizard began to run across country at a speed faster than any horse born would be able to maintain for long; but he kept up this pace until, at the castle of a baron loyal to Arthur, he paused to eat and drink, and to report to his host what was threatening the east.

(ooc Igraine I thought was the most commonly used name....lol)

"Aye M'lord I do, very well in fact."

(ooc do I drop the bomb or wait for a better time?)

OOC: Merlin, already knowing exactly who Morgan is, tried to prepare Arthur for exactly that bombshell by saying "a kinswoman." So I vote, go for it!

(ooc: Kim, here is the deal. When Morgan came to the court. She did not tell Arthur about being his sister, because she had an evil plan that involved some explicit material that we are not mentioning here. And since we are not going there, could have Morgan drop the bomb or leave it for another time. Maybe it you leave it for another time, we could do something with that later. Some kind of deception.)

But of course CF has another opinion, so it's up to you now.

IC:
"And how, I pray, dear Lady, do you know of Queen Igraine and why is it that her sister is looking for her."

(ooc yeah I know....but I have other things in mind:rolleyes:)

"Oh my dear king, she is not looking for her. Only to tell her that, I, her only daughter, has come to stay with her. And that my training is done. I can now be with my mother once more." She said with a pleasant smile. She remembered him from her dreams, but expected him to have more...jadeness about him I guess that dream was far too much in the future.

OOC: Mike, one reason for Merlin to be needed elsewhere is my trying not to spoil the broth with too many cooks. But I gathered from the first posts Kim wrote in this thread, that she doesn't intend any harm now. If she did intend harm now, Merlin would have said, "Too bad about the Saxons," and remained at Camelot to counter whatever Morgan was up to. Arthur, after all, is indispensable.

(ooc: Ok, to all, LOL)

IC:
"My Lady, is the good queen you mother? That makes you my sister. Tell me, is King Uther your father also?"

Merlin's host, Baron Kevin of Tarnwell, pledged to march his men on the route Merlin would indicate, to follow him as quickly as possible to the endangered stretch of the British coast. Merlin then asked an unusual added favor: the use of two live geese.

Renewing his lightness of body, and tying cords to the ankles of the geese, Merlin commanded the birds to fly east by southeast--and so light a burden he became for them, and so strong did his words of power make them, that they towed him through the sky even faster than he had been running. When he reached the seashore, he would set them free in gratitude for their help in intercepting the foreign raiders.

"No, not by any means. Do you know of her first husband? The Duke of Cromwell? Well he was my father." Until your father killed him, she thought grimly. But she had no feelings for a man she had hardly known as a child.

"You don't mean to blame me for the acts of my father, do you Lady? I certainly would not blame you for the acts of your father. Besides, I do not know that story."

(ooc Arthur is a mind reader:rolleyes:)

"No dear brother, of course not. Our fathers were their own souls, we control ours. But prey, tell me, how is our good mother?"

OOC: My other major character, Sir Balin, could be introduced anytime now. But in the mainstream Arthurian legend, Balin had such a complicated relationship with super-chicks, that I'm not introducing him till we have more idea what's going on. Meanwhile--Kim, that's CORNWALL, not Cromwell.

(OOC: LOL. I Don't know, hahahaha. Joseph: Do you know if their mother was alive then. As far as I know, she was dead now. But she was alive when Arthur first became king, after that, I don't hear anyone mention her).

IC:
"Our mother, Aye!" is all Arthur could say at this time.

Guinevere sat in the drawing room looking out at the Kingdom below.

"M'lady," A young chambermaid said as she curtsied in the doorway.
Guinevere looked over at the girl. "Yes?"
"M'lady your father is asking for you in his library." the girl said quietly
Guinevere thanked her, smiled and walked out of the room.

Meanwhile her father was busy talking with his knights.
"I am sure you are all aware of the danger we are put in. King Lot and King Uriens are planning to attack along with the Saxons. However after this attack, the Saxons want to continue
along the east coast. Since we know this, we can foil their plan and stop them."
His knights sat with him listening intently.

Guinevere heard her father talking; she knocked on the door.
"Enter." Her father bellowed.
She walked over to her father and did a deep curtsy.

"You asked for me father?"
"Yes, Guinevere please go out to the grounds and let me know when King Arthur has arrived. I need to speak with him at once, when he gets here."
"Is that all father?"
"At the time being, yes Guinevere."
She did another deep curtsy and walked out of the room and went out to the grounds.

(ooc: Kim, is gone now so we can continue tomorrow. I feel tired myself. I will get this one last post)

IC:

"Unfortunately, sister, our mother died not long after I became King. She is buried in her own manor. Next to the man she truly loved, Gorlois."

Okay, Josie, since you have Leodegrance already knowing about Lot's attack...

A remarkable sight came into Guinevere's view: a white-bearded man being towed though the air by two geese. Landing inside the castle, he allowed the geese to rest while he spoke to Guinevere.

"My lady, I am the High King's chief counsellor Merlin Ambrosius. I pause here to give word to your father: let him concentrate all his forces on resisting King Lot's attack from inland. I am even now taking steps against Saxon landings from the sea."

Guinevere curtsied.
"Welcome sir. I thank you for the news you have brought my father. I shall tell him at once."
"Would you like anything for your geese Sir?"

"Water, and a bit of good grain; they have earned it. Thank you. While I think of it: you will need every man soon. If any man, woman or child here is sick, show me to them at once, and by God's permission I will heal them."
