The Lucy's of Narnia: BBC and Walden

I am really amazed that this thread is still around! It's been about 3 and a half years since I originally posted this :)

Georgie is definitely my favourite, too - she's done such a great job in all the movies :)

In the Horse and His Boy it refers to Lucy as a "Fair-haired Lady." (Chapter Twelve: Shasta in Narnia).
Fair hair doesn't always mean a true blonde...it just means lighter hair. Lucy has a light brown with fairer highlights...she's exactly like I always imagined her.
In contrast to Susan she's quite fair. Susan is described with long dark hair and its one of the things that she is known for as Queen Susan.

At the end of LWW, it states that Lucy "was always gay and golden-haired." That sounds blonde to me.

But like others, hair color is not as important as the actress. Georgie is a great choice for Lucy and I prefer brunettes anyway :D

Thank you Bob, that's just the quote I was looking for. And ditto exactly what you said. Also, Queen Susan's hair was described as black and falling to her feet. But like you basically said, hair color alone shouldn't exclude a talented actress. Furthermore, all the Pevensie actors, at least to me, look well-enough to resemble real siblings.

Georgie is definetly Lucy! Her acting was so much more believable. She sounded like she was a little girl in Narnia, not an actor reading lines off a script.

Georgie without a doubt She to me is Lucy when she first enters Narnia you can tell that she really feels delighted to be there even though the actress knows it is all fantasy make believe. My first introduction to Lucy came in the form of the animation and in some ways it will always be what brought me to love Narnia in the first place books also included

Georgie was a lot better choice for Lucy than Sophie(?) the one who played her in the BBC ones was too old, as has been said before by previous posters and she was always to whiney. When I was little and the BBC ones were the only ones out, i didnt like her because I thought she didnt look like Lucy should(overbite, too old, etc...) and her attitude was always too annoying. In the new ones, Georgie was PERFECT for Lucy, she's the perfect age, she looks like Lucy, she has a really good attitude, she is a good actor and over all she was just better for Lucy in my opinion.

I just recently watched the BBC productions of Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and I must say I like Georgie better as Lucy. The one in the old movies seemed too snappish to me. Georgie is an incredible actor (I saw her in the Masterpiece Theater production of Jane Eyre and she played an amazing young Jane).
