The magical New Zealand

I think the thing I like best about NZ is that the country is free!
We are far away from harm like tidal waves, tusanmies, hurricanes etc, and occasional earthquakes (although when antartica melts NZ is going to be first to be flooded completely!) and we have no posnious snakes or crocodiles or any harmful animals except ones locked in zoos, and we only have one harmful spider!
 
I don't mind rats or mice as long as they don't come near me!

Escpially (i can never spell that word right) at the CommonWelath Games! Man that was cool! The introducing night and then it shouts out NEW ZEALAND and all this black swarms the TV screen, there is a moment of proud, :D Nothing compared to someother countries (Talking to you their Aussie) who was huge! I loved their starting though, and Delta singing and those roller-bladers with fireworks on their back! :D

Going sidetracked though!
 
haha yea, I love having the great feeling of pride. what a moment. my cousins a new zealand representative for rowing.. and when he gets out their rowing.. I feel great knowing that we arent just this tiny nation in the middle of knowwhere :p
 
Just had a thought because of all this bad weather(Trust me, doesn't happen often :p)

If you are ever in Wellington and it is raining, don't even think about trying to use an umbrella. It won't work. It will just make you look like you're from out of town. Locals never use them. ;)

Thanks, M. I'll be sure to wear waterproof mascara instead.
 
hahaha ^ actually I have never in my whole time of living in NZ seen more than about 10 people using umbrellas and they have all been in christchurch square - tourists.
 
I saw on one of the extra LOTR DVDs that while they were filming one of the movies, New Zealand had a record rainfall in that one area, and it was flooded.

I might blend in....as I don't own any umbrellas. So like I said, I'll wear waterproof mascara. :D
 
You can buy umbrellas! We aren't that bad though, only in Winter and mainly the South Island because it is closer to Antartica (OK, that honestly made NO sense at all!)
 
No offence but its complete rubbish.. we dont have more rain than you guys up notrh.. ok maybe we do but oh well lol Antarctica has one of the least amount of rain fall a year.. so that has nothing to do with our cold wet rainy climate. Remember up north a few years ago when there was that big flooding?? I guess you guys are closer to the north East.. esp. Auckland.

That big flooding must have been when they were filming one of the LOTR movies.
 
Wow. Then the mini flood they showed on the DVD extra of the filming of LOTR must have been small compared to this bigger flood you guys are talking about.

yea I think it was. It was crazy.. werent they very close to putting out a letter for the state of emergency thingy?? I mean when they decide that they need help from other countries?? not sure exactly though
 
Hmmmm, I decided something! I like the Village SkyCity Cenimas in St Lukes, Auckland much better than my movie theatre! I went and saw Pirates Of The Caribean there yesterday!
