Okay, let's be honest, now. I hated it. Absolutely, 95% hated it. Now, if you loved it or whatever, don't lash out. But let's come together and figure out what all us haters (the few of us there are) disliked about the movie.

your saying u hated narnia.....?

You will have to search far and wide to find a bigger fan of the books than me, and to say that the movie failed I would say is a gross exaggeration. There were certainly aspects of the movie that could use improvement (especially Aslan's character and lines in my opinion) but to say it failed to capture the mood and essence I don't think is accurate.

i felt it failed to capture the essence and mood of the masterpiece that is the novel. it had such potential.

*sigh of relief* Well, if you like the books, I have no complaint. :)
But, I don't think that you will find many movie-haters here...you are the first one to come out and say it, though, so I really don't know.
ANd Kayla, mcmonkeyburger doesnt hate Narnia, mcmb just hates the way they interpreted it in the movie and how it ws filmed...I suppose?
Haha i dont want to seem like I'm speaking for mcmb...but its understandable that you didn't like it, though I have to disagree.
I also agree wholly with Charn_Tim's post.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, after all..

I loved the movie, I thought they did a great job.

This considering how badly most books get butchered when they become movies. The book (TLWW) is actually my least favorite book of the series (though I do love them all). I can't wait until the others come out.

But I think the movie makers did an awesome job.

haha i loved the movie, like everyone else...
sorry mcmonkeyburger, but it doesn't look like you'll have many members to ur club....they are probably out there somewhere, but probably don't wanna be a member of this site...why would they be a member if they hate it???

i know this is kinda changing the subject, but i just bought the score to the movie and i love it!! haha thanx for agreeing, but i think its the truth..sorry to break it to ya..:(

Please no fights, I personally liked the movie, but some see things differently. Right know I am reading the series. Sometimes people think they did a good job, others think they don't. Me, well I liked it. You're intitled to your opinion and I respect that.

I agree. LWW wasnt my fave either.....
but PC is so u can imagine my excitement for the movie! :D

I respect your opinion McMonkeyBurger, but i think your being to judgmental and two critical on the movie. Anyone would kind be....well *dumb*(pardon my language:o) to think that the movie was going to be 100% accurate that just barely ever ever happens to movies that are being made from the books.
I think the movie was great even though it had its differences and changes from the book.

I don't think it was as good as the books but what movie is?? I would give the movie a 9 out of 10! I love WETA workshop and i think they did an awesome job w/ the Costumes and stuff! The Soundtrack really does sound like Narnia should sound!!!

i think that it was really a good movie; if theres one book-movie movie i HATE its HP4...they only put in about 25% of the original book into the movie

To be completely honest, I was extremely disappointed with the movie for the most part. I agree with mcmonkeyburger, I mean, it completely failed to capture the spirit of the book! The book was about Aslan, enchantment, redemption, and the Deeper Magic (which was left out of the film!)! Not about drawn out, Lord-of-the rings-style battles, frozen waterfalls, whiny foxes, cheesy taunting wolves (somebody's gonna get hurt?!?!?) and petal-dryads!! Ugh!!

Actually, I didn't hate the movie (how could I possibly hate a movie with William Moseley AND Skandar Keynes in it? haha) Actually, the two boys were the saving grace of the film for me. But I was expecting much, much more.

*please don't flame me for my opinion*

But the movie DIDNT leave out the Deeper Magic (tho I have to agree on the Skandar Keynes part ;) :D ). Dont u remember that Aslan himself explained to Lucy and Susan after the stone table cracked, that there is a deep magic that the white witch does not understand?
and also, while looking out at Cair Paravel, Aslan told Peter tha tthere is a deep magic that bonds us all, that chooses our destinies.
So.....the screenwriters didnt lleave out the deep magic in my opinion....tho they did leave out Giant RummbleMuffin! :(
