i just finished reading Eragon for the first time today! i wanted to finish it today, and i did thankfully. now on to Eldest! my friends and I are going to see it next friday :D i pray i won't be disappointed

I looked on yahoo...and people were saying pretty nasty things about it. I REALLY hope it isn't that terrible. I don't really care what the other people think , anyway. I want to see it to form my own opinion. And as long as it's not as horrible as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire  (don't get me started on that), I won't totally freak...or...maybe I won't...

I found out that Mike Macauley of Shurtugal.com gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars. He said some stuff was cut (duh) and the plotline was played with, but overall, it was pretty good. I hope he's right *crosses fingers*

Oh, and if you read any "professional movie critic's" review of the movie, don't pay attention to it. Movie critics are over-biased against children's/teen's movies, especially fantasy ones. They honestly do not get the younger generation at all... So don't expect any accurate reviews from them. Even if it's Ebert and Roeper  I really don't like them

Traditional critics are against fantasy, because fantasy defends traditional virtues - bravery, courage, sacrifice. The critics are pawns of the liberal propaganda. I have no respect to them.

I agree, i dont like the movie critics and i dont listen to them anyways. The movie was well done, it seemed rather too short at like 104 minutes or something like that, but it was very well done, i know i will probably see it again sometime.

Totally agree. Don't listen to those who say the movie sucked, because even if you didn't like the plot, you have to say the CGI stuff looked increadibly real. Ed was really great, Jeremy rocked the place, Carlyle really made the part, Dijmon was perfect, and all that. ;)

EDIT: Oh, man! Shruikin came in just in time! Oh, yes, and the part at the end...*starts tearing up* That was sad! I really thought they made Eragon and Saphira DIE!!! But, it was very dramatic, and I'd give it a 5 out of 5

I actually cried when Brom died!It was so sad! :( I liked Racheal Weiz as the voice of Saphira don't you?
She was perfect! Oh, yes, and I loved it when Eragon tried to die for Saphira :( I cried then. I thought they were gonna kill him, but, it was a little twist.
