The Servant and the Eye

The door slowly opened, Nat walked in. Mar looked at him, she could understand why all the girls wanted him. He walked over to her, "how are you feeling." Mar rubbed her head, "I'm alittle dizzy, and I have a terrible headache." Nat smiled, "I'm glad you're awake, you've been unconscious for two days." Mar stared at him in disbelief, "two days." Nat nodded, "the doctor said that you need to eat," he looked over at a chair, there was a beautiful rad dress on it, "it was my mother's, I hope it fits you. I'll have one of the servants come help you." He turned and walked over to the door.

Mar stared after him, she heard him talking to someone. The door opened again, Eva walked in. She ran over to Mar, "are you okay, what happened?" Mar slowly stood up, "I'm okay, I don't know what happened." Mar walked over to the chair, she picked the dress up, it was beautiful. She quickly changed, Eva laced the back up for her. Eva smiled, "you look like a queen." Mar smiled, "thank you," she saw the letter, the one Kara had given her, she picked it up. "Thanks Eva," Mar said. "Come on, I'm suppose to take you to the prince now." Mar sighed, "okay, lead the way." Mar followed Eva out of the room and down the hall, into a dinning room. Mar walked in. Nat and his brother looked up, "hello." Nat stood up, "this is my brother, William. Do you feel better?" Mar smiled slightly, "yes, much better, thank you my lord for your kindness, but I need to get back to work."

Nat walked over to Mar, "you've been unconscious for two days, you're crazy if you think I'm going to let you work." He walked back over to the table, he pull one of the chairs out, "you need to eat." Mar was going to object but thought better of it, she walked over and sat down. Nat looked at Eva, "you can stay if you want." Eva smiled, "no thank you, m'lord, I nave work to do." She walked out of the room, William stood up, "I'll see you later Nat," he looked at Mar, "it was nice to meet you miss." He walked out of the room, Nat looked at Mar, she looked vary familiar now.

Mar looked back at him. Nat smiled, "have we meat before." Mar shook her head, "no my lord, never." Nat thought for a minute, "are you sure, you look vary familiar." Mar smiled slightly, "I'm sure." Nat shrugged, "okay," he posed as the servants brought in food, "you better eat, I'll be right back." Nat stood up and walked out into the hall, William was waiting for him. "Nat, she looks familial." Nat nodded, "I know, but I don't know why."

Nat looked at Will, "who do you think she is, she doesn't seem like a servant." Will shrugged, "I don't know, father has picked the knight who will lead the quest to look for the eye." Nat looked at his brother, "who is it, I wish father would stop with the quests, no one will ever find it, its a waist of time and people." Will nodded, "I agree, but its tradition," Will posed, "he wants you to lead the quest." Nat looked at him is shock, "what, me, I cant do that, I need to be here," he protested. "I know, I don't want you to go either, but father has made his decision." Nat sighed, "you're right, I have to obey him," he looked back into the room where Mar was, "I better go see if she needs any thing." Nat walked back into the room, thinking about what his brother said.

Mar was reading the letter Kara had given her, before she was killed. It didn't make any since. She looked up when Nat walked over. "Was the food good," Nat asked as he sat down. "Yes, it was vary good." Mar looked at him, he seem distracted, "is every thing alright, my lord." He looked up at her, "what, oh yes," he looked away, then looked back at her, "well no, my father wants me to lead the quest for the eye, I don't want to do it, its a waste of time and dangerous." He didn't know why he was telling her, but for some resin he thought she could help. "The eye," Mar asked, she looked down at the letter, there had been a map in with the letter, the letter said it lead to the eye. "Yes, " Nat said, "why?" Mar showed him the map, "it leads to the eye," she explained. "You can read this," he looked down at the map, every thing was label in a language he had never seen before. "Yes, you can't?" Nat shook his head, "no," he looked at the map for a minute, "you'll have to come with me, to be the guide."
