The Servant and the Eye

Nat looked at her, "you didn't disturb me, what's wrong, you wouldn't be crying if nothing was wrong," he gently touched her shoulder. Mar jerked away from his touch. "Nothing is wrong sire." Mar looked away, she moved her arm, her sleeve got caught on the wall, it was pulled up, her arm was covered with bruises. Nat grabbed her arm, he pull her sleeve up, "who did this to you," he was trying to control his anger. "I...I cant tell you," Mar said through her tear. "Who did this," Nat yelled. "sir Jahaj, my lord," Mar looked away. Nat stood up, he was going to take care of Jahaj once and for all.
 
Nat looked down at Mar, "come on, you shouldn't be out here." Mar looked up at him, she wondered why he cared about her. She slowly stood up, pain shot up her back. Nat watched her, she looked familial, but he didn't know why. "Can you make it back," he asked, his voice full of concern. "Yes, I'll be fine," Mar said, trying to sound strong. "Okay," Nat turned to go, "every thing will be alright." He walked out of the stable, Mar stood still for a few minutes.
 
Yikes! Sounds like an idea I had for a portion of a story once.... Poor Mar! I wonder if Nat and her are cousins, or brother and sister or something! o_O
 
Mar slowly walked back to the castle. She walked into the servant quarters, Jahaj was there, she turned to go the other way. He grabbed her arm, "where do you think you're going, you're mine now." Mar backed away from him, "let go of me," she shook his arm off. "You will learn your place, slave," he pick up a metal rod off the table. Mar back up, fear shown in her eyes, he hit her, hard, across her back. She collapse to the floor, he head walked the marble floor, she fought to stay conses. She braced her self for another beating, but none came. Mar slowly opened her eyes, she saw Jahaj, and the prince, he was holding Jahaj's arm, and yelling at him, the guards came in. Mar closed her eyes, she was dizzy, she was almost unconscious. She felt herself being lifted off the floor, by strong arms, every thing went black...............

Mar slowly opened her eyes, she looked around. She was in a room, she had been in here before, she was in the princes room. Mar sat up suddenly, she was in his bed. She felt her head, there was a bandage, Mar looked around, the room was empty. She dangled her lags over the side of the bed, her feet didn't touch the floor. She started to get up when she heard the door open
