Voyage on DVD

With the release of the lovely new cover art for VDT, I thought now would be a perfect time to discuss what we each hope will be included on the DVD. I for one would love to see many of the scenes which were cut from the theatrical version. Such as the numerous scenes I heard were cut from the Lone Islands. What would you like to see on the DVD?

From Narniaweb:

AreaDVD has posted details on the extras that will be included on the Blu-ray/DVD release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader:
• Deleted Scenes (The Kids In Narnia…, Eustace II, Mutiny, Caspian Doubt) 05:35 min.
• Music Video: There´s A Place For Us (By Carrie Underwood) 00:59 min.
• VFX Reel – Progression With Optional Commentary By M. Apted And Mark….. 12:58 min.
• Good vs. Evil: Battle On The Sea 10:53 min.
• Portal To Narnia: A Painting Comes To Life 07:20 min.
No release date has been set.

Personally, I wish there were more deleted scenes. I think I was spoiled by the LOTR Extended Editions.

personally I'd like a new extended edition. but, good luck with that!
A sneak peak/pitch of SC would be nice (kinda like Disney is doing with Tr3on, before it's even green-lit!)

More than anything, I'm looking forward to the bloopers. :p

And a commentary with the actors, if they have that again.

I hope for a commentary as well.

I hope there's more from Lone Island, and perhaps the Dufflepods.
Maybe a little scene with Caspian and Liliandil?! Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic! :D

Ha Ha. I can't help but want to see more of Caspian and Liliandil too. :D I would have at least liked to see them get together. :) Perhaps they will show more of that in SC. That is, if there is an SC. I'm very hopeful though. :D

Lol :) Happy to find another romantic here! Perhaps there's a little in the deleted scenes.
I'll buy the DVD as soon as it comes out! Then I can enjoy Reepicheep whenever I want to. :D

I'm very hopeful about SC, too. The VDT film is doing fairly well.

I'm a bit disappointed that it sounds like many of the special features are only on the Blu-ray Edition seeing as I just own a DVD player. Hopefully new details will emerge of a VDT DVD that includes all of the Blu-ray features. It looks there are a lot of great things on it! I'm really looking forward to April 8th. :D

How exciting! It looks really good-- although, why does Edmund have his sword up on his shoulder? I don't get that...

The bonus features look really cool! :D I love bloopers, so I'm really hoping for those. But what's with the Carrie Underwood video being listed as 59 seconds? I've listen to the song about a jillion times on YouTube, and it is definitely longer then that.

In the article posted today by Paul, he mentioned that there are discrepancies with the length of the features. He also mentioned, Turkish Delight, that we've never seen a complete list with all of the features. However, from what I read, the blu-ray features and the dvd features should be fairly equal, although the blu-ray will probably have some exclusive features only available to the format.

One thing that has struck me about Dawn Treader's marketing, is that both the soundtrack AND the dvd release have been riddled with errors and fallacies. Makes me wonder if someone isn't sabotaging this stuff on purpose.

think deleated scenes and the commentary

depending on what i can afford at the release of the DVD i would like to see deleated scenes or a commentrary i hope they have one of those or both on the DVD

Even info on the movie was twisted or false; "The White Witch Shall Rise"!!!

I guess I didn't pay much attention to that bit. I've just really noticed the slip-ups in marketing, and it's very embarrassing to Narnians. They should hire someone professional over there at Fox.

Very true. It just says bad things about them when their marketing is that sloppy. And their marketing campaign was lame, too:

Look at Avatar: was there ANYONE who owned a TV set that hadn't heard something about it??? Whether or not the movie was any good, it was very well marketed. We heard a little here, a little there, and then BAM! It was all over the place - and it didn't go away after it was released.

Look at VDT: a lot of people didn't know it was coming out at all. We heard a little here, a little there, and then maybe a little more in December. Then everything sort of fell away after release. I have yet to see a "Now Playing" TV spot, and in fact, I didn't see anything about VDT on TV at all!

I saw maybe one TV spot after the release that (I think) said #1 movie in America. Well that didn't last long, and after that spot, I don't think I saw anything else. I think that while some of the marketing was better than PC (there seemed to be more OF it), it was not well done and it could have been so much better.

I always enjoy the bloopers and deleted scenes most. I am wondering, however, if there will be bloopers, since no list I've seen has them.

I'm so excited that it's coming out in early April! My friend and I were expecting to have to wait until Christmas since they waited to put out the DVDs of the first two until the next Christmas. We were wondering how we were going to stand to wait a whole year, and were thrilled to find out we wouldn't have to!:D
