Your funny :p. It would seem alot more practical, and less expensive to film in Ireland, but would it look the same? I mean the same as the summer part of the film. ??

I agree. I don't think it would look enough like Narnia as we have already seen it-- just like they ruined the scenery for the 3rd and 4th Harry Potter movies by having a different castle and different hut (where Hagrid lives). Even if it is a subtle change, or even knowing that it isn't in New Zealand, would sort of make me disappointed. As I watch, it will be like, this isn't the real Narnia...

Well, I suppose since it is supposed to be 1000 years later in Narnia, it would be a bit different. But still, I'm extremely glad it will be filmed in New Zealand.
 
It hasn't yet been decided for NZ yet but I do agree!

But although I hate to add the scenery will have to look different because in the book it mentions how the Stone Table had changed!
 
OMG wow!!!!! yey!! Do you know which areas they will have open casting calls in. or are the extras, complete acting school people??

and exactly, when they changed the scenery with Harry Potter, it really annoyed me as it didnt seem right. Even if the scenery in Ireland was breathtaking, I would still find fault, as I was expecting to see New Zealand.

There most likely won't be casting calls because it would just be for extras where they would recruit locals around filming or agencies!
I know as much as you do!

oh right -- I guess. Its quite a pity, as Chch doesnt really have any filming done in it. But do you reckon they would cast from there, for scenes like in Aslans Camp? which is about an hour or a half away?

mmm they actually filmed about an hour and a half out of Chch so its not quite the same.
