What Are You Listening To Or Watching Now??!!

Little House On The Paraie on both T.V. & DVD, touched by an angel on T.V.>

lately i've been watching Little House on the Paraie both on T.V. & DVD have the 9th season, also been watching touched by an angel on T.V.

The happy kitchen sounds of my daughter preparing Sunday dinner -- chicken cordon bleu tonight (yay!)

Anne with an E

I've been binge-watching "Anne with an E" this weekend. Even though the plot line wanders off-book, the spirit of the Green Gable series is there, with some interesting fan-fictionesque back stories. This adaptation gives depth to Anne's character helping me understand more of why she is the way she is...

Well, I recently watched the entire 13-part serial "BEOWULF: Return to the Shield Lands." The character of Beowulf was given something of an Aragorn vibe.

to: Copperfox re: Beowulf series
Did the series follow the epic poem in that did it have Grendl's mother as well as a dragon in it?

As for me I have been listening to some rather boring (so far) lectures on emotional intelligence from the Teaching Company; I expect it will get better when all the definitions are done with.

I've been watching Monk (the TV show) with my brother. Not so sure Monk is an accurate representation of someone with OCD, but we've mostly been enjoying the humor.

Found this on a page about the kids who acted in Les Miserables:

WHAT THE KIDS SAID

LACEY CHABERT (Broadway)

  • "I loved it! I got to wear makeup and get a huge black eye every night and that was so fun. I also had a solo song."

    ~ Los Angeles Times, 1994

  • "I was understudy for a boy's part, Gavroche, and on my birthday I got to do it. I got shot three times and had a great time! And at the end when I bowed I took off my hat and some people were like, 'Oh my God... it's a girl!' It was one of the most exciting things I've ever had to do!"
    ~ America Online Chat
    JANEL MEILANI PARRISH (Third National)
About what she misses while on tour:
  • "I really miss my room full of toys..."
Not a funny or strange thing to say, but a certain line from Castle On a Cloud comes to mind... :)

  • "I would say to think positive, have confidence in yourself and tell yourself, "I can do it!" Everyone is going to make a mistake sometime, but if you do, just keep on going and don't get upset with yourself. You always have to be confident in yourself and believe you can do it. Everyone tells me that I am the youngest and shortest Young Cosette they've ever had, but that doesn't stop me. I just have to believe in myself and show everyone that I can do it."

    RYAN RUMBAUGH (Third National)
Janel Meilani Parrish got sick during a heatwawe in Salt Lake City right after she and Ryan joined the tour.

  • "When Janel was sick, I had to play her part also [EPONINE]. At first, I didn't want to play a girl, but we have to alternate days and they really needed me so I decided to do it. So I had to wear a wig and a dress and everything. I was glad I knew the part."

  • Ryan's mom: "Because of the child labor laws, the two children in Hawaii alternate with a boy and girl from the mainland [JENNEL BROOK SLACK and NATHAN KEEN], so the other girl couldn't perform Janel's role. At first Ryan was hesitant, but when he got a second paycheck, he said it was worth putting on the tights and the wig!"

LILY RUSSELL (Montreal, Winnipeg, Ottawa & Broadway)
On playing Gavroche for two weeks in Winnipeg:
  • "It's going to be fun. I won't have to wear a dress or a skirt and I get to run around a lot."
    ~ The Gazette (Montreal) - July 20, 1991
    FAITH TRENT (Third National)

  • "I sometimes don't like going on for young Cosette, cause Madame Thénardier spits on me!"
    ~ St. Paul, MN - 1996

I was already an adoring fan of the ultra-gorgeous fiddler Lindsey Stirling; now I'm still more a fan.

Entertainers have pretended to "fight" by dancing ("Lord of the Dance") and by playing instruments ("Dueling Banjos"). But in this video, Lindsey and the others do both at once!!

I would like to see Lindsey play a duet with the also-beautiful Chinese cellist who covered the Wonder Woman theme a couple of years ago.
