What is ONE thing you hope happens in the Netflix Narnia stuff, that you are concerned they won't do?

Even showing more of what led up to the deplorable word would basically suffice.
suffice for what? It is not needed and would change nothing of the story other then maybe you and other readers thinking "maybe she isn't so bad". This is not the story that Lewis wanted to tell, how even villains can be misunderstood. This is a children's story with deeper meanings in it that we as adults can take out of it, but primarily it is for the kids. Having a "good guy" and "bad guy" is simple and works for children literature. If you want to expand on it and blow it up to search the recesses of her mind and her motivations you can make it very complex and completely inappropriate for children literature.

What you can do is imagine how you think she could have been and leave it at that. There is no story owed explaining her motivations and in fact some of the fun is using ones own imagination for these questions and being content with that. And personally I have enough trouble with others interpretations of Lewis's writing and would care to stay away from people now creating and adding to his works. The Chronicles of Narnia is in my mind a perfect series that covers the beginning all the way to the end of Narnia in a way that children and adult alike can know and love. Be content with that.
