The Wicker Man (1973)

What a movie... indeed! Stunning thriller, superb acting of Edward Woodward and of course, hearing Christopher Lee singing as Lord Summerisle.

The character's so righteous that it makes people to feel empathy towards him and, clearly, to be shocked at the ending. I won't deny that such pagans were dangerous. It also achieves a false sense of security, despite the foreboding of the rituals and clues discovered by the Sgt. Neil Howie.

So, I won't recommend this movie to anyone who can be easily offended by this movie.

Anyway, I know for sure that I'll remember the image (and sounds) of the Wicker Man for a long time.

Time for me to listen to Doom Metal.

Longtime forum members may recall my recommending a free cable-TV channel known as Classic Arts Showcase, which is just what its name suggests, including imaginative music videos with symphony orchestras. My local service had lost this channel for some reason, but this week they got it back, yay!!

Visually amazing (the floating mountains were stellar), and I like the Na'vi. Plotwise it was okay, but not anything spectacular.

Saving Private Ryan

Man, it's been a long time since I watched that movie. And hearing the bullets on the Home Theater system... just reminded me of a relentless Thrash attack! Haha! And that led me to listen to Sodom. \m/>.<\m/

Now, does anyone know if it's true that R2-D2 makes a cameo on that movie?
