The books are authored by Mark Helprin, and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg.

They might be children's books, but I find them wonderfully in-depth, intriguing, and fascinating. But that might be just because I like these kinds of stories. And, I've always loved CVA's illustrations. I think he did some for the covers of the Narnia books once.

Anyways, I love them! I found them on our bookshelf, so I don't know where we got them from.
 
Hey, I can't get my avatar back up in this new forum. It says it's disabled. Anyone know how to fix that?

oh yeah. that's right, Jenny. i almost forgot.

hey, Green Cloak. well first, what are you into? do you have any hobbies that you would like to incorperate(sp?) into your avatar? at this point in time, my avatar is a picture of three tiger cubs floating down a river in a basket. tigers are my favorite animal. but the reason that i chose that picture for...well just right now is because it look Dead. and the water like Rain. so it's like my name. of course it's super hard to see when the picture is so small, but i know what it is, and that's all that really matters! haha.

also the colors in my avatar i like. and trees i like too. there ARE trees in the picture of my avvie, but i doubt that you can see them. before this avatar i had a pic of a tower at night that i made on the paint program.

so if you could give us a little info about you and what you like and what not, it would be much easier to help!

lol...well, This really great girl from my church helped me make it. (well, technically SHE made it I was there for moral support) Now if only I could convince her to make me a dress....;)

nice avvie, DoE. can you do that thing with your hands? i can only do it with my left(which is weird kuz i'm right handed...). i have to use my left hand to do it with my right. *pries right fingers apart wtih left hand* see? :D
