You should totally do it! :D It isn't that hard to win. 50,000 words sound awfully hard, but you can do it. ;) Even if you don't win, you'll still have gotten around to doing that story. NaNo helps you find time for your stories instead of thinking 'someday I'll write such and such'. :D
