The Dawn Treader - All Together - Mast & Prow Attached

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader won’t be in theatres until December 10, 2010, but we’ve got a full length picture of the ship with the prow attached, today! There’s also a mast attached, and it looks like there are still some more parts to be attached, but they’ll only make it more beautiful than it already is. I could not have imagined a ship as beautiful as this, and it’s about time that it’s coming together for the shoot next week. I can’t wait to see it with a full mast, completely together. It’s definitely a boat that I would love to sail on. The pictures come by way of Narnia Fans Spies ‘Hiromi’ and ‘Ben.’

  1. The ship is AWESOME! Totally cool. But if the wings weren’t so small; it’d even look BETTER!!! I hope the sails are off-white or midnight purple. Sail on, VODT!

  2. Tears are welling up in my eyes. I can’t wait to sail away with Caspian, Lucy, Edmond, and Eustace and crew.

  3. Great! Can’t wait to see the tail attached–I think I see it there waiting in a few pics, especially that last one.

  4. I must say I’m a bit relieved that the prowl looks a bit different than it did in some of the earlier pictures. The dragon now look much more fierce, where before it looked a bit cartoonish or like a carnival ride. The added paint and details had made a big difference. Looking good!

  5. Im so glad that the third narnia movie is coming out. The Ship lookes awsome in every way, This movie is goping to be a theater hit.I love the chronicles of narnia books including the awsome movies that were made, but disney is bad they drop narnia, But 20 fox united with walden and r making the veloved cs lewis master piece the voyage of dawn treader. Plis walden make the Silver chair and the last battle, And the other books that misses plis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Awesome! Cant wait till the movie. It comes out still over a year but, I am saving my money ALEADY to see it the DAY it comes out! Awesome books to, I am on this book right now (#5 of 7). C.S. Was just a amzing writer!, I love how to added the Christian in the books. Like Aslan is “Jesus” and died for us when they layed him on the stone tabel (just like Jesus did on the cross). That good though! As long as the movies dont take that and make it wrong ect. Mostly it is just in the first movie but a little in the secend and in the books over 3. Not really at all. Great books, True Narnia fans like me… Need to read ALL th e books and really need to read the books befor the movie. Helps lots with understanding what going on ect. CANT WAIT ! ! ! !! !

  7. She’s a good ship, the Dawn Treader. It looks like how I imagined it. It will have purple sails, IF they follow the book. In the mouth of the dragon head there should be a lookout, as in the book. I can’t wait to see the sea monster attack, where the valour of Reepicheep and Eustace (sort of) save the day. For now I’m having to content myself with watching the BBC version, with Warwick Davis as Reep. I hope they stick to the book as much as possible, because the book in itself is worthy of a movie. Changing it would be a horrible mistake. Did any of you notice that it said the Dufflepuds (Monopods) had the “ability” to turn invisable? In the book they turned themselves invisable with a spell form the magician’s book. Sorry for the wordiness, I just get to talking and can’t stop when it comes to Narnia. I just read the book for the 5th time, (now I’m reading Psalms, and the History of the Middle Ages) and I still get excited at every part! Lastly, (if you have survived reading this, you deserve turkish delight!) the actor for Eustace looks too nice to be a brat, wondering what he will look like in the movie! Waiting for the day to set sail!
