First Dawn Treader Poster: “Return to MAGIC, Return to HOPE, Return to NARNIA”

The first poster for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader has been spotted in the wild. It was photographed at a Regal Cinemas theater in Pennsylvania.

Regal is the cinema chain owned by Walden Media owner Philip Anschutz.

If anyone sees more posters, do take photos and send them in!

Thank you to LucyP0104, for taking the photo! Remember, if you see any more posters, do send some photos! This poster leaves me with the impression that Fox is going to create a bunch of posters for this movie. This is something that has been missing from every promotional push of the Narnia films to date: Character posters. Many films with large casts have posters that feature individual cast members and the like, and hopefully Narnia gets the same treatment. Seeing as this one features Aslan and has the logo with Reepicheep standing on it, there could very well be other posters with Caspian, Edmund, Eustace and Lucy. Perhaps even more, though the promotion thus far seems centered around those four plus Aslan and Reepicheep.

  1. Kudos to LucyP0104. Can’t imagine it at all coincidence this showed up at a Regal.

Absolutely love the Dawn Treader’s reflection in Aslan’s eye. Absolutely love it! Well done to Walden Media and Fox!

  2. I love it! The ship in Aslan’s eye is amazing and I love the vibe. Wonderfull.

  3. Wow, looks like they’re really trying to get the message across that this is going to be a very different movie, to those who didn’t like the second one and might be disinclined to watch any more Narnia movies.

    I can’t wait!!!! 😀

  4. One poster and one banner, hopefully soon we’ll se one trailer? 😀

  5. I had to walk away before seeing it so I didn’t scream. It’s wonderful! I’ll keep a lookout in my Uncles theater for it! He has a long hallway of posters of movies coming out all the way to December. It might be there.

  10. I was at the McDonalds that partners with my local Regal in Greenville, SC and the Movie theater manager was switching out the old Shrek Poster for something else. I asked my wife, “I wonder what he’s putting in.” Then all of the sudden, I see the new Narnia poster. The last I had heard they had canceled production on any further movies because the 2nd was so bad. I love the books and loved the first movie but the 2nd movie was so far off of the book that it kind ticked me off. I left the theatre going, “That really wasn’t very good. They completely took away from the spirit of what the book was trying to teach.” But the 3rd (Voyage of…) is my favorite of the series. I hope they do it justice and not try to change such a wonderful classic.

  11. This is such a cool poster! I love the ship in Aslan’s eye, and the fact that they use virtually the same picture of Aslan as they did for the other movies, yet it has a little different look.
I simply cannot wait until December 10!!!
