First of all, I'm a Christian. Second, I love Narnia! I've been reading the books ever since I was little, and I've been following the Narnia fansites ever since the LWW movie came out. You might know me as The Bulgy Bear. I'm homeschooled, and I'm the oldest of five children.

  1. These featurettes are really cool, I’ll admit, but I hope there will be bigger featurettes on the DVD.

  2. I immediately went and downloaded those clips after seeing this post, and I was quite impressed with them. I can’t wait for the DVD release! I’m hoping the DVD will make enough money to help add a little more profit to VDT and make Fox and Walden even more enthusiastic about making the next movie, whether it is SC or MN. Personally, I’d prefer SC, just to wrap up the Caspian trilogy, and to get it in while Will Poulter is still young enough to play Eustace, but I will see whichever one they decide to do next.

As for the DVD release, I agree with Queen Helen – bigger and better featurettes – and a director/actors’ commentary too, just like in the first two movies! I would love to hear Will, Skandar, Ben, and Georgie sit down with Michael Apted to discuss the film.

This is probably not the place to comment on this particular thought that I just had, but I couldn’t find any other place that would work. I loved VDT, but I think one of the things that touched me the most were the powerful lyrics of Carrie Underwood’s end credits song “There’s A Place For Us”.

I must say, of all of the Narnia movies, I have LOVED the music. The songs on LWW were amazing, but Regina Spektor’s “The Call” just about brings me to tears every time I hear it, and I had the same reaction when I heard “There’s A Place For Us”.

They’ve had some amazing artists doing the music for these movies, but one group that I would LOVE to see write a song for one of these movies is Blackmore’s Night. Narnia would be right up their alley, since they write amazing Renaissance and medieval inspired pieces, and their lead singer, Candace Night, has an AMAZING voice.

What does everyone else think? Has anyone else heard of this group? If you haven’t, I highly recommend you give them a listen – all of their albums can be found on iTunes, and a lot of their songs can also be found on YouTube.

    • When I read your comment, I looked Blackmore’s Night up on Youtube. You’re right, they have some pretty cool, medieval sounding songs. I think I might buy one of their CDs sometime. Their music would be great for a Narnia movie.

    • Thanks, now I’m completely hooked on this band. I keep getting their songs stuck in my head! Well, they should do a song for the next Narnia movie, whichever one it is.

      • *wince* Sorry…that was definitely not my intention…but they have become one of my favorite bands ever since I first had them recommended to me. They do have amazing music though, and it really makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time.
