A major step in the publication of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe happened on this day (August 13th) in 1949. That was when C.S. Lewis signed a contract with Geoffrey Bles Ltd.
In honor of this landmark day we offer the following preview of an upcoming podcast series on The Chronicles of Narnia books. The preview below is about 15 minutes and gives you a “taste” of what each of the upcoming seven shows will be like. You can listen to it on this page or download it to your computer or mobile device. A few details are being worked out before being able to announce when the complete shows will be posted, so be sure to check back later to find out.
There will be one show for each Narnia book. Co-hosts for the shows are William O’Flaherty, Paul Martin and Dr. Crystal Hurd. A different special guest will join them for the podcast. Dr. Bruce Edwards will discuss The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Dr. Devin Brown will be the guest for Prince Caspian.
