We’re excited to finally start bringing you guys some new features for you all to enjoy in the interim while we all await new news about further big screen adventures in Narnia. There are some big things in the works that we’d love to tell you all about, but we have to wait for the go-ahead before we can do that. However, that doesn’t mean we’re not going to do anything here.
In the coming weeks, we’re likely moving the site to another server. This will also bring with it, a new design that should make it easier to find all of the features that you want to read. But you want to know about the new features.
Weekly Mailbag Returns
Do you have a burning question about Narnia? Send it to us via our contact page, and we’ll do our best to answer it on our weekly mailbag. On another note, we have a new Narnia Fans Q & A website where you can ask questions and other fans can answer them.
Narnia Fan Fridays
Each Friday we’re going to feature a different Narnia fan. This could be you! We’ll give you a list of questions so that you can introduce yourself to Narnia fans around the world. They’ll all be Narnia related questions, so nothing too personal is out there for the world to see.
Narnia Radio
Yes, it’s the return of Narnia Fans Cast, albeit in a bit of a different setting. We’re putting together what could become a weekly radio show about Narnia. We have no idea what it’s going to look like, but in doing this, we are joining forces with Middle-Earth Network Radio to be able to bring you the latest news, interviews and more. You’ll also be able to listen in to your favorite Narnia music, and discover other Narnia and C.S. Lewis inspired music that you probably didn’t know exists.
More to come
That’s just scratching the surface of everything that we have planned for 2012. It’s going to be a big year for fans of high fantasy. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey comes to theaters in December, so we don’t have to wait too long for more great content. (For those that don’t know, C.S. Lewis, the author of Narnia, was great friends with J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.)
I am one of Narnia fan! I like fantasy very much.
And also this movie is made for kids in England, so good for practicing English as well!
I really fancy Narnia story and would like to watch next one!

I’m so excited for changes! I just starting to think that the main page was getting a little outdated (if not the forums)
I’m really excited for the “Narnia Fan Fridays”! I LOVE taking polls/surveys, so that will be really fun!
Literally as SOON as I saw this on here I went to my siblings and was like, Narniafans is making a bunch of changes to their website :D!
Anyway, thanks so much for letting us know Paul! CANNOT wait for the changes and more news!
Total agreement 🙂
Can’t wait to see the changes!!
This sounds cool, Narniafans! I can’t wait to see all that you have planned for us!”There are some big things in the works that we’d love to tell you all about.” I like the sound of that! 😀
that sounds exciteing i can’t wait for more new features 🙂 i just hope the new server isn’t too hard to use
Sounds interesting, but will the forum also move to a new server? Will this cause log-in or other problems if that’s the case?
The forum is also going to move, I believe, but that shouldn’t cause any major issues. Might even see an upgrade!
YAY! Thats what I was hopping for!
YAY! This sounds so exciting, I can’t wait for all of it 🙂
I can’t wait! These changes sound like they’ll be cool.
I hope fantasy fans will hear about a fourth Narnia movie being green-lit this year! That would be awesome…
can’t wait.!
pls bring the NARNIA 4 and dont forget about the dragon boy
it is very good movie pls dont forget dragon
Hey Paul, what would you say to recording a discussion/review/debate on the VDT movie with me? It’d be fun to get the two opposite views one-on-one in the same video. 🙂
Looking forward to the new radio stuff. 🙂
I think a debate on any piece of art would be rather silly unless it were over the moral implications of whether something should be considered art or not (say, edgy material). That said, some sort of dueling point of view could be interesting. I imagine that if we planned it out well, with respect for and understanding of not just the thoughts of the other, but also the reasons for those thoughts in the first place, we could have a lot of high quality material. Considering our very different experiences with / around the books, films, actors and creators of the films, those things did have a lasting effect on my point of view of the film (based on the book which I haven’t read very many times at all, and you’ve probably read a hundred times). I could see it as a point-counterpoint, or as a Bookworm/Movie Fan type discussion as well. There are lots of ways that we could build it, and lots of ground rules we could set for it. It seems also, we could have dueling commentaries for the film like they did with the Matrix Trilogy. The original plan for the Matrix Trilogy being 4 commentaries for each film: 1 with critics that loved it, 1 with critics that hated it, 1 with philosophers that loved it and 1 with philosophers that hated it. Warner didn’t want the movies going out with two commentaries from people that hated the movies, so they only allowed one of each. People have been asking me for a commentary based on my own point of view of the movies for a long time, and I was thinking of doing that with the upcoming radio show’s technology.
Now, those are just my initial thoughts. What do you think? Also, I’d like to have you on the show as a guest at some point once we get things rolling.
I was picturing something similar to this:

Cool! I can’t wait for the new site and the hobbit movie. I already like middle-earth radio and narnia radio would be really cool. I also like glumPuddle’s idea, a debate between the two of you on VDT would be very interesting.
You don’t know how happy your first paragraph made me!!! Hopefully, you’ll be able to tell us “what’s in the works” soon! Three movies made, four more to go!
The Hobbit is going to be a spectacular film! Go see the Adventures of Tin Tin, and you will see the preview for An Unexpected Journey! I am excited to see how Peter Jackson is going to pull off another blockbuster hit! Even if it is far from the book, I will still love and respect it, as do I with Lord of the Rings!
Sweet! So excited about the Narnia radio! I’ve always been big into music, and when I first heard the Narnia soundtracks displayed in LWW, I got shivers down my spine. And then when they came out with PC, the music blew me away again. So this will be great for Narnia music fans like me!!! ^_^
awesome!
