Fan Made Virtuoso arrangement of ‘The Battle’ from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

There is no doubt that composer Harry Gregson-Williams composed some beautiful music for the first two Chronicles of Narnia films. When portions of this score were brought back at times during the third film, it was always a magical moment in the film, and always brought back feelings of joy and elation.

A fan named Robert Peeters has recorded a virtuoso arrangement of “The Battle” from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.Β  It’s an incredible version that I am sure you will love.Β  He plays it on a Yamaha Grand Piano.

    • I noticed that too. I thought maybe it was just realistic since sound travels slower than sight. You know, like when you see someone slam a car door across the lake or something but you don’t hear it until a few seconds afterwards! He was AMAZING!

      • My theory is that he first redorded his song in a studio and then filmed himself playing and it and then Combinded the two together (like what professionals do.) That would explain why the video shows him playing at different angles.

  1. WOW! That guy is awesome! I am a pianist myself, so this video really got me excited! I wish that is was written out on paper so I could learn to play it! WOW!

    • I agree, I would love the sheet music. It was be amazing if there was a book with the music from the movie(s).

      • Actually, there are two piano/voice/guitar books! (I own both. They are SO FUN to play!) One is for LWW, and one is for PC. You can find them on Amazon.com if you search for Narnia music in the search thingy.

  7. What incredible talent, and beautifully played!

My favorite score from the three movies is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; there’s something very magical and special about it. That being said, I too like when bits of it are heard in The Dawn Treader–helps bring the movie that familiar “Narnian” feeling.

  8. We’re getting our Baby Grand put into our new house next week, so this video got me really excited! πŸ˜€

  9. Ohhh! This is my favourite music from the movie and Robert Peeters does it justice. The melody and the flow of sound from the keys is just beautiful.

  10. I have never watched someone play a movie soundtrack on Youbute and say to myself: “How that was Flawless” but now you’ve ruined my streak, thanks alot. LOL.
