We’ve been quietly building something we’re genuinely excited about: the return of our old fan review system. Not a star-and-a-comment box bolted onto the page, but a real way to say what you thought, where you’ll go scene by scene, character by character, in as much or as little detail as you like.

Rate it the way you actually think about it
When you sit down to talk about a movie with friends, you don’t hand it a single number and walk away. You argue about the opening. You defend the one character everybody else dismissed. You rank the set pieces. So that’s how the review form works.
Instead of one lonely rating, you’ll score a movie across a handful of areas:
- The big categories — story, direction, the stuff that shapes the whole thing.
- The cast — rate the performances one by one, with each actor’s photo right there next to their role so you know exactly who you’re scoring.
- Specific moments — the questions we’re most excited about. You’ll rate the major sequences from the movie, scenes that may one day become iconic, and more.
Every rating is a quick 1-to-5, from Poor to Amazing, so a full review takes a couple of minutes if you’re moving fast, or a good while longer if you want to sit with each one.
Focus mode, for when you want to give it your full attention
If the scrolling form feels like a lot, tap Focus mode. One question fills the screen at a time, big and clean, and you move through them one by one. Type a number, click a star, or just tap. Press Enter or the arrow keys and you glide to the next. It turns “leaving a review” into something closer to a little quiz about a movie you love, and honestly it’s our favorite way to do it.
See the scene you’re rating
Some questions come with a clip or a still. When we ask you to rate a specific moment, you can sometimes pull up the actual scene in a pop-up right there; no hunting around, no leaving the page. It’s a small thing that makes a surprisingly big difference.
Then see how the whole fandom feels
Once reviews start rolling in, every title gets a summary: the overall average, how many fans have weighed in, and a breakdown of the scores across all those categories and moments, so you can see at a glance which scenes the community adores and which ones split the room. Open any individual review, and you’ll get that person’s full scorecard, grouped and easy to read, plus whatever they wrote.
A few practical notes
- One review per person, so the scores stay honest. Your email is only ever used to keep it that way; it’s never shown publicly.
- Light mode or dark mode, your call; there’s a toggle right on the form.
- Telling us your country, age, or anything else about yourself is completely optional, and any of it only ever shows up as anonymous, combined stats.
- As always, submitting a review means agreeing to the site’s terms.
Some titles aren’t open yet; and that’s intentional
For movies that haven’t come out, or that we’re holding for a launch moment, you’ll see a countdown instead of the form, with the exact date reviews open. When the clock hits zero, the doors open and you can pile in with everyone else. Keep an eye on the sidebar; we’ll be featuring what’s live and what’s coming up.
