Amy Lee Rumor Won’t Stop

This is an unsubstantiated rumor: Guess who Amy Lee, lead singer of Evanescence, is totally gonna score with? Not some guy with tattoos and a lip ring–no, the shadowy chanteuse will be making sweet, sweet music with dead British lit god C.S. Lewis. Or at least she’s getting snuggly with the adaptation of his The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, due in 2005, with Tilda Swinton and Rupert Everett.

“I’m doing some cool, ethereal vocal stuff throughout the score,” she tells Team Megaplex while promoting the band’s recent concert DVD Anywhere but Home. “And also a song for the end credits.”

But before you start thinking she’s gonna get all Enya on you, she soothes us with her dark magic: “I’m trying to bring something creepy to the table,” she promises. Well, good. ‘Cause a story about a lion who’s supposed to be, like, Jesus inside your closet just isn’t creepy enough.
