With two months to go before the release of its big-budget film “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” the Walt Disney company wants very much to whet audience appetites by placing music from the soundtrack on radio and music-video channels.

This is an unsubstantiated rumor: “I’m doing some cool, ethereal vocal stuff throughout the score,” she tells Team Megaplex while promoting the band’s recent concert DVD Anywhere but Home. “And also a song for the end credits.”

[Evanescence’s Amy] Lee has also been working on music for the upcoming film “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe,” inspired by the children’s book by C.S. Lewis. The dark and morose tale, about four children who discover a magical land in the clutches of an evil witch, not only was a childhood favorite of Lee’s, but its aesthetic suits the gothic-leaning singer perfectly.
