  • I have felt hesitant about it, since the story is not quite one hundred percent my invention, only about 96 percent. But as with "Sophia Renee," I do have thoughts of making a spoken-word audio recording of it.
So ya gonna ask N-Fan to show Brendan and Jennifer in some part of her story about Summer?
I can't see inside your head; but in the existing story there is hardly any development of Brendan's romance with Jennifer Williams. She is a junior and he a senior when they first meet; she has worked at Pansit Paradise at sometime before she met Brendan; she shares his love of lacrosse; and that's almost ALL that was ever said.
A much simpler thing to do would be to keep the Alipang thread alive by writing a post on it in which you offer any suggestions you have for N-Fan as she writes her parallel story.
If you're in a writing mood, consider this: the character of Patrick Hyland, Brendan's elder brother, has very little contact with characters in Smoky Lake. Therefore you COULD write a story about Patrick, beginning when he and Brendan were kids and going on into his USMC career, without worrying about contradicting the Alipang story. This would give you a platform from which to speak....carefully.
Well, do what you can to persuade friends of yours to read "Alipang Havens." After all, you can tell them that you're a character in it!
Somehow I didn't see your excellent Alipang post right away. Thank you for helping to make things clear. If it HAD been possible for Al and Chil to marry, then their transition TO open sexual feelings would have come as easily as walking through an open door; but as it is, they never ventured into anything intentionally sexual.
I'm just waiting for faithful reader Unforgotten Memories to comment; then I'll start the wedding.
