Linda- I need some help.... and I thought you would be the perfect person to ask. My best friend delivered an adorable baby girl on Nov. 16th......... After delivery the doctors discovered that baby Mia has spinal dysplasia. .... dwarfism. My friend is devastated. It's been a really hard few weeks. She did not know about this before the delivery. She had a perfect pregnancy, and did all the healthy things the books told her to do. They did find out that it wasn't a gene from her or her husband that caused it....The gene mutated before delivery cause Mia to have short arms and legs. I really want to be there for her. I was wondering if you knew of any good books I can get her to help her cope with the feeling and emotions she is going through. At the moment she is feeling like.....Why us, why Mia, embarrassment, fear, concern, and shock. If you know of anything that would help....I'd appreciate it.
