A New Challenge

*feeling himself being tackled**rolls away leaps up and grabs lucy so she can't escape**playfully* surennder or I'll have to kill her! *laughing to Lucy's hollers*

*looked down at the ground then back up* how...do you plan on telling them? you know...about us? *worry in her eyes*

*then a dark shadow falls over them, swooping, letting out shrill screams*

*releases Lucy**hugs Lu and Su close* What is that?

*feeling the shadow their conversation was interuppted* Oh dear, I knew it was too good to last...*sighs**then with urgency* Edmond RUN, *the patch began filling back up with thorns as she burst into the best limping run she could manage*

*Jadis snaped out of train of thought hearing the shrill screams and spoke*"what is that?"
 
*her way was blocked before she reached the other side**looking up to a thorn tree* Edmond HURRY, get out I'll be fine! *lept to the tree digging her claws into the trunk to keep from falling**she reached the branch and started swining herself from branch to branch, but each branch was covered in a million little thorns in which dug them selves into her paws each time**let out a cry* OW! *kept swinging* don't worry I'm fine!

ED, LORETTA get outa there! *let go of the girls and rushed to Ed* EDMOND HURRY!

*Jadis heard her famliy was in trouble and she ran to where they were to save them and figure out what was happening*
 
*blood was dripping from her paws down onto the thorns**wincing**last swing and landed flat on the ground blood seaping through the punctures in her paws**she could not stand for the pain was so great in her legs from the previous patch, and she winced in pain as she touched the ground with her hands**the great shadow was still hovering above the family* eh, I'm okay, everyone. Edmond? has anyone seen him? *calling, struggling to feet* Edmond? *worry echeted into her eyes and voice* Edmond *Callapsed and got back up**then fell agian*

*seeing Edmond just make it to the edge**runs over* Edmond, I'm so glad you made it!

Oh, its probably just a Screeching Dragon that wants to eat us...that's all! No need to worry though thats just its preying call! *hint of sourcasim in her voice as she wiped her bloody hands on the grass* NOW, since this Screeching Dragon is trying to eat us I think we should head for shealter...*limps over to the others* maybe in those woods *gesturing to a clump of dark forbidding trees* We might find something else that wants to eat us too! *smiles playfully* No but *serious look* I do think we should head for shealter. *starts limping toward wood*

I agree with Loretta, we should find shealter! *nervousness*

*Jadis seen Loretta was having trouble with one quick movement she turned around and scooped her friend up in her arms and ran*
 
*protesting* Jadis, put me down, I can walk I can do it...just put me down, just because I got some thorns in me doesn't mean I;m not strong!

Edmund turned quickly noticeing Loretta limping behind the group, "LORETTA!!!" he cried running to her and helping her catch up with the others, "come on!"
Susan and Lucy ran towards Peter, Jadis and the others as fast as there legs could carry them. "but where are we going to find shelter in a place like this!?" cried Susan helping Lucy catch up to others.

"well we better find somewhere soon..it looks like he's gaining on us!!" Susan cried glacening behind for a moment and noticeing the dragon was indeed gaining on the group. "EDMUND LORETTA HURRY UP!!!" she suddenly cried seeing both her younger brother and Loretta struggleing to catch up.

*Jadis stoped in her mid run and ran to where Loretta and Edmund were having trouble she placed herself between Ed and Lori and started fighting the dragon off*

Edmunds eyes widened, seeing what Jadis was doing, "we have to find shelter and quick...you won't be able to fight that dragon off alone Jadis!" Edmund cried, panic hidden within his eyes. he held Lorettas hands tightly, franticly trying to search for a place they could use for shelter.
Susan and Lucy kept on running with Peter by there side until suddenly a bright golden light could be seen shineing towards a small cave to where Jadis and the others could hide in and be safe for the save was far to small for the dragin to even stick a hand in.

*Jadis seen the gold light appear out of the corner of her eye she turned from the dragon quickly and ran at Ed and Lori and grabed them up in her arms as she ran pasted them and headed right for the cave she seen the gold light appear*

"thanks Jadis we really appriciate it!" Edmund said feeling Jadis pick him and Loretta up in her arms as she ran pased them.
Susan and Lucy screamed as the dragon took a deep breath, blowing a great fire from his mouth that was almost heating there backs as they ran towards the golden light, leading them to the cave.
