A Thread For LOTR Collectors

I would love to get poster either from The Fellowship of Rings (Theatrical) or The Return of the King (Promotional or Post Release). :)

Ps. I happen to be listening to my LOTR albums by the brillant Howard Shore. :)

I sooooooooooooooooo love this man!! He is magical! To me Howard Shore is even more important than PJ sometimes because his music is awesome. Everytime I hear LOTR soundtracks I'm back in ME. The collector's edition is marvellous. All numbers are on it

I own the poster of those releases :D

I completely agree! Music as well as visuals drive a film. Without fantastic music a film can be dule or less impactful. this is not so with Howard Shore, he is a Phenominal Composer who not only created a brillant score for the LOTR films, but in essence created a sound for the world of Middle Earth. When you hear his music, you are not reminded of LOTR, you are taken into Middle Earth and once again you find yourself enchanted in a realm of mystery, magic, and history. :D

hahaha! that would be intense!

jeff, like the only lotr action figure i own is a council legolas in the box. do you think i should release him or keep him in there forever?

The Minas Morgul score reminds me of LOTR Imperial March (Darth Vader song). :D

Hmmm.. well that depends. If you plan on re-selling it on Ebay or to somone I would keep it in the box. But if you want to enjoy it, to actually display it, I would open it and lute it grace whatever room you choose. :)

no i dont intend to ever sell it... just the fact that it was in the box was always intimidating haha
*holds breath and opens it*:D

You know how I solve that problem, of being intimdated by opening it?

I buy two copies, one I open the other I keep for collector purposes. I've done this with copies of the books. My real expensive ones I keep in plastic to hand down to my children and grand children. The others I will read and use. However not all of us can buy two copies of something, and I rarely do anymore, unless It's something real special. :D

yah i dont much see the practicality in spending money on duplicates haha
i have several duplicates of my littlest petshops but they dont due me much good haha

Well to each his/her own. I find it practical for some things, like say I buy a sword, a fine LOTR Sword but I'm afraid to use it because if it should break or get dirty It won't look so good displayed. If I buy two, I can keep one displayed and use the other as prop. :D

But like I said I can't afford to do this with lot of my collection pieces. :D

I just remembered one important piece of LotR merchandise we have, we have Sting! One of our friends knew someone who was selling their sword collections and we bought Sting for 50 dollars :D
