After Return of the King

Kasey cried.

"I'll go." Bryan said running away toward Frodo.

Merry-

Setting the little girl down by her mother's side, that had been upon his back, Merry rushed over to Kasey. Her grief making her an easy target for the Orc's, he pushed her out of the way of a newly fired line of arrows. The swiftly moving arrows rushed over their heads with a whizzing sound, and Merry quickly ran after Bryan,

"I shall come too. You will need all the help you can, to get Frodo back."

Pausing a moment to see if anyone else would come, he waited. But he couldn't stay for long, as the Orc's gained on them.

Rosie-

Rosie pulled Kasey safely onto the side of the road, putting an arm around her shoulder,

"Are you alright, Kasey?"

Frodo-

It was hours before Frodo finally awoke from his dizzying unconsiousness, tyring unsucessfully to move his hands, he found that he was tied to a large sharp tree. His face, a collage of bruises and gashs, as his light blue eyes gazed into the fire in front of him. Noticing that he was now awake the Orc Leader that had taken him smiled and gave a hollow laugh. Raising from his seat of fall leaves, the Orc came over, looking down upon him. The arrow still lodged in his shoulder, the pain of infection sweeped through Frodo's body. Seeing that the young hobbit was in pain, only made the Orc glader inside. Kicking Frodo sharply in the chest, the Orc walked away completly amused with the expression on Frodo's face, of bitter sadness.

"Well....let me think.....the man I love has been taken away from me! So no." Kasey said braking out into tears.

Rosie-

Rosie looked at Kasey thoughtfully, her arm still hanging around Kasey's shoulders,

"There, there Kasey. I am sure Master Bryan and Merry, shall bring him back safely to you.. and all will be well. Frodo is strong. No other hobbit could of done what he did to save the world, and I'm sure he shall surprise you again with a swift return."

She tried to shine a comforting smile down upon Kasey, but her tears seemed to block out any thread of hope that Rosie attempted to give.

Frodo-

Frodo emitted a quiet cough and sputter as the air from within him was knocked brutally out by the Orc's deathly hard kick. Closing his eyes, he tried to see himself back in another place and time, with Kasey and his dear friends. Small tears now began to trickle down his face.. would he ever see the ones he loved again? Or was this how it would end so unexpectedly?

"I'm sorry Rosie. I just..I..." she broke out in big tears.

Rosie-

A tear slowly made a trail across Rosie's cheek as she watched her distressed friend burst into tears,

"No need to apalogize, my dear. You are upset... as would anyone be in such trying times."

The forest now became a massive sea of Orc's until you could hardly even see the trees through their darkly colored bodies. She now said hurriedly,

"I believe we must fly from here, as quickly as possible."

She now hurried and got to her feet, taken Sam and Kasey each by the hand.

Merry-

Merry rushed through the thick forest quickly behind Bryan, no trace of Frodo could be found. He now looked up at Bryan with a worried look on his face,

"What are we to do?"

Frodo-

It took several moments for Frodo's tears, to finally stop falling from their light blue springs. His heart ached with longing to see a familiar face, but for now he had to do something. He could not just sit by, and wait for a rescue. He would have to try and do it himself.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a sharp knife sitting on a pillow of silver stone. A glimmer of hope sparked within his heart as he realized it was just within his reach, slowly and quietly inching towards it he looked around for the Orc Leader, but he was no where to be seen. His hand now grasped the small knife's hilt lightly, when suddently he stopped dead cold. The sound of footstep's drew near.. and a even larger group of Orc's and Leader's stepped out from the shadows. His captor now smiled as he caught a glimpse of Frodo's attempted escape,

"Foolish, boy!" ,he yelled.

Quickly grabbing the knife from Frodo's reach, he jabbed it hard into his oppisote shoulder. Frodo cried out in pain, the torture hard to bear. Would it ever stop?

The large Leader now folded his arms across his broad grimy chest,

"Maybe now you shall have learned your lesson, hobbit! There is no escape for you."

The sounds of muffled Orc laughter filled the silence around him, as he sank back to the ground. His spark of hope, now snuffed out in the bitter darkness.

"Follow me!" Arla shouted pulling them into a dark cave.

"Look Merry." Bryan said pulling him down into a bush. "Now it's just a matter of getting to him." He said pointing to a small figure near a tree and a huge group of orcs.

Frodo-

Distantly hearing another set of footprints, Frodo let out a shaky sigh. Believing it was another Orc army, Frodo dreaded their coming most greatly. But what worse could happen to him now? He had already been stabbed, shot, knocked out, kicked sharply and dragged brutally across the forest floor. The only other thing that had not come to him yet was death. And he feared that would be arriving soon.

Merry-

Crouching beneath the bushes, Merry gasped at the sight in front of him. Frodo almost looked unreconizable from the terrible wounds that littered his body. Orcs stood all around him, quite proud of their capture and torture of the young hobbit,

"What are we to do?" ,asked Merry with a ring of shock and fear in his voice.

Rosie-

Hurriedly running behind Arla, Rosie looked back to see the whole Orc army chasing after them. How were they ever going to escape unseen?

"Into this crack in the wall...quick!" Arla said.

"I hear Treebeard now patrols these woods....you know him....see if he can help us." Bryan said trying to make the caw of a bird so Frodo knew they were there.

Frodo-

His head sharply raising up, Frodo's ears recieved the faint call of a bird. He knew that sound, he had heard it before. 'Bryan' thought Frodo. His blue eyes now glimmered with hope again and his heart stirred with gladness. But was it real? Or a delusion? He knew, he had nearly been killed, so maybe it was only his mind playing tricks on him. But for now.. he would attempt to wait and see.

Merry-

Merry nodded, hurrying into the deep depths of the forest. Branches catching hold of his cloak as he ran, it seemed as if the whole world was trying to stop him from this rescue. But he was determined to see his friend well and happy again. Just then he felt the ground tremble slightly beneath his feet,

"Treebeard." ,muttered Merry under his breath.

He then came upon the familiar sight of his old friend, scanning the terain around him. Merry now quickly waved to him, attempting to catch his attention. He then called,

"Treebeard! It is me, Master Merry! I'm afraid I am in dire need of your help!"

OOC: Who wants to play Treebeard? :)

OOC: I can take him for now.

IC: "Bless my bark. Master Meridoc?"

Bryan did another reasureing animal noise to get Frodo's attension.

Merry-

Merry nodded, stepping forward a bit from the shadows so Treebeard could get a better reassuring look of him,

"Yes it is I, my friend. And I am afraid I have no time for cheerful greetings, Master Frodo is in desperate need of your service. He has been captured by Orc's and if we don't get to him soon, I have a feeling he shall be no more."

Frodo-

Completly sure of the fact that Bryan, was out in the woods somewhere, made Frodo all the more joyful. But not even the comforting sound could steal away his grief, as he watched the vast amount of Orc's surround the the red and gold flames of the fire. To Frodo, there was no possible way he could be rescued now. The Orc's were too many and his friends were too few. Hanging his head in pain and dispair, Frodo listened and waited.

"Well......this......is terrible.....news." Treebeard said. " I........think...I can....help you."

Merry-

Merry bowed his head respectfully,

"I thank you, Treebeard.. for any help you can give us."

He now shifted uneasily, hoping his friend would take action soon. There was no time to lose and he knew how much Ents seemed to take everything so very slugishly slowly.
