Back when the musical genre of "metal" was just beginning to take shape, an animated MOVIE called "Heavy Metal" was released. This movie was a bit less coherent, and a LOT less child-friendly, than "The Yellow Submarine," but featured startlingly vivid action for a pre-computer animated production.
