Twilight, do ye think that after all the anesthesia, and bandageing (sp?), If Pegasus had not gotten to Elindil, Would she still be alive today?

I think, according to what have happened in previous duels, yes, she would have been alive. For evidence on this opinion, please refer to this page of the Ranger's thread: Wherein Machia is stabbed in the back by a Ranger, Kate

Also, though I do not have the pages, IOWW claims to have been stabbed in the back by Kate multiple times and she lives, and Kate is not on trial.

*The Steward stands*

It does not aid this case to present facts concerning other duels. This bears no support for or against Apolo.

Ah Indeed, I was there when she was stabbed three times in the back. I even gave orders to Headless bill to stand in front of her cabbin making sure that she did not escape in order to duel unless she were to be completely healed.

One last question, It already has been established that after stabbing Elindinl in the Back, Apolo and IOWW helped Elindil, treated her wounds and transported her back to her tent where she was given anesthesia and bandaged. What was the reason fer them leaving the tent before Pegasus arrived?

You did not know of this rule?
And you are trained in weapontry right?
BTW...That should be an objection...She is not a medic.

Twilight flashes a look of contempt at Kingaslanofnarnia.

I am the Chief gunner aboard our ship, and carry a huge array of weaponry, as well as being in charge of the cannons aboard ship.

I did not know of the no back stabbing rule as an established rule of the Pirate's and Ranger's dueling, unlike the how long our cannons can shoot, and how far we can teleport rule. In fact, I was not aware that we had any such rules. The no back stabbing would be an unwritten rule.

I concede that personally, I prefer not to backstab. I'm a pirate though, if it was me or an enemy who wanted to kill me, I'd go for them. (I'm not saying that is what Apolo did, that is my personally philosophy.)

Allow me disagree with you Steward. The fact that other survived when stabbed has a great deal of bearing on this case, where part of Apolo's punishment (If not all or most of it) rests on the fact that Elendil died after being stabbed. I stand by my evidence.

ELINDIL DID NOT DIE!
I read the whole thing this morning. Before the crazed horse reached her someone shot it. Then stabbed it. Elendil is still hurt, but not paralyzed. She is alive, I should know, I'm the medic!!!
*sits back down face flushing with embarresment*
*the ranger sitting beside DMC pats her on the back*
"Way to go. I wouldn't have had the guts to do that"

After the duel, and after an attempted healing of Elendil, which she rebuffed, but they carried out anyway, IOWW teleported Elendil into the tent, and went outside to fight the Pegasus, and called for Apolo to fight in the beast's thread, since she thought Elendil would heal. Then Elendil posted about the pegasus walking into her tent. Then IOWW posted this:

I'm aware of that! I'm not daft. Where were you stabbed?Hup, hold on. * Takes out pistol and shoots pegasus through the skull*Now, what were we saying?

They left the tent to fight Pegasus, and shot the Pegasus that was after Elendil. But Elendil and Lion's Mane ignored this, and went ahead with the death anyway.

If you someone who was trained in weapontry didnt know this rule, then would you expect a cook to?

I would not expect a cook to have more knowledge of dueling than I, though firearms are my speciality, not cutlasses. I might expect him to have doubts about the fairness of back stabbing, but I can't really fault him for teleporting. It seems a logical way to use our advantages in a duel.

Of course, each of us pirates are trained to fight, some not as well as other, but we can all fight. So he should have some knowledge of combat, and what might or might not be fair. But not everone has the same definition of fair.....

Elashia: You have important opinions, but you want to wait until yer called to the stand to speak. PM one of the judges and ask to be called to the stand after me if you want to speak.

Do you find it fair him stabbing her in the back?

I think she asked for it when she challenged him to a duel. She should have known what she was getting into, that he could teleport. I don't think he should have stabbed her in the back. But I also do not believe it was his fault at all that she died. I've given you my reasons why, in that no one else has died after being stabbed in the back, even multiple times, and that we have convincing evidence that she wanted to die.

Good, because I have things I have to attend to on the ship (ie, I have to go) Before I go, I ask you to please read IOWW's account of this matter, on pages 5 and 6 of this thread, and to consider that no one before Elendil has died from being stabbed in the back. Have mercy on a humble cook who made an unwise decision. Farewell mateys and.....others.
Twilight steps down, unless someone else wants to ask her questions.

I have a few things to say about that. First of all, Elindil did die from her injuries, (see page 259 for her funeral). But then she was brought back to life awhile later by some strange magic, (see page 265 for Elindil's resurrection)
