My lord judge, a Ranger is at the stand. Will you not question him first and seek to gain what knowledge he may have regarding this matter, before you call another to the stand?

So be it.

*The Lord High Steward of Narnia arises out of the stone chair and walks down, and takes the stand*

By Aslan, I swear to tell all that I know and witnessed.

I began as a Ranger, and I am now the Leader of the Rangers and the Lord High Steward of Narnia, Chatelain of Cair Paravel, Guardian of the Lone Islands, etc., until the return of the King.

Your lordship has rightly said it. I speak of no one now known at present. Of the highest King of Narnia I do not speak. His throne is established forever.

I had taken leave from the Ranger's Fortress in the north of Archenland and, entering into Narnia, aided Pirates and Beasts to defeat the Dark Army. When the brothers Leo and Orion were united, I left the Beasts' camp and returned to the Ranger's camp in time to see a pirate standing over the former King of Narnia, Lions Mane. It appeared that his sister, Elindil, had already died at this point.

There was no action I could take at that time. It was not my right to interfere in what was taking place.

So you stood by and watched, while a Pirate seemingly slaughtered your leaders?

Oh shoot, I'm leading the witness... I might have to hold myself in contempt.

I noticed that you called Lions_Mane King of Narnia. The validity of this statement is in dispute. What claims did Lions_Mane haveto the throne, while a Queen sits in place at Cair Paravel?
