"Well let's hope that when he comes back he wont make her sad...maybe he'll make her happy," she said fighting against the chokes that threatened to break her calm facad

Brin closed here eys fealing a few more drops fall from her cheek to her pillow. soon she wouldn't be able to hide this crule reality called their family from Mara but until that day came she would fight to keep her sister as safe as she could.

ooc: You know Mara means bitterness :) I thought her name being Mara kind of fit. Want to say she's about 5?

ic: Mara woke up early that morning but laid there wuietly waiting for Brin to wake up.

ooc: I did know that and I think it fits very well. ok five sounds good...wow they waited eleven years.

Brin tried to quitely get up to not wake up Mara, not realizing she was already awak. she tripped over one of her shoes and knocked a book off her desk. she turned aroudn to see if Mara had heard that.

Lisa stirred, nearly falling off the kitchen chair. She blinked and yawned, looking around. Her eyes stopped on her hand and she remembered the previous night and why she had fallen asleep on the chair. She stood, stretching. She should make breakfast, Brin and Mara would prbably be up soon.

ooc: maybe she was a 'surprise'

ic:

Mara sat up and smiled. "Bri!" She squealed with joy and jumped up on the bed.

Brin smiled despite herself, "Hey there...I hope I didn't wake you up."

ooc: that is what I was thinking after I typed that. with the problems maybe the mom really wanted it trying to brin their dad home

Lisa set the plate of pancakes on the table and went to the stairs. "Breakfast time, girls!" she called up to them.
