Brin walked down the stairs and took a deep breath. the pancakes smelt so wonderful but they were tainted by the smell of remorse, pitty, anger, pain and so many other flavors Brin had gotten so used to, " smells good Mom."

"Thank you dear," Lisa said absently. "Morning baby," she said, kissing Mara's head. "I'll be right back, girls. I'm going to go get dressed."

"Good Morning mommy!" Mara squealed. "Pancakes! yay!" She said as her mom was walking out. "Bri, can I have syrup?!"

Mara was clapped excitedly and reached to get the syrup. "Syrup!" She said said as she poured syrup on her pancakes.

Lisa cmae back, looking a bit better. She'd brushed her hair and put on fresh clothes, even tried to put on a bit of makeup. "How are they?" she asked, taking a seat next to Mara.

Brin was nibling on a dry panckake not saying much. oh she missed those days of blissfull ignerance. she didn't begrudge them to Mara now, no she was happy for her. while it lasted.
