Black Cloak vs Dead Rain

Scaryman: *casts spell*
Sturdinae: *falls down next to Olorinsesss* Hey, i forgot how to fly, why don't my wings work?
Olorinsesss: What, you can't fly anymore??? And i was soooo close...
Sturdinae: It's not that bad.
Olorinsesss: NOT THAT BAD?? I've been stuck here for over a month, it's really cold, and now i'm stuck here with an eagle??
Sturdinae: Hey, don't forget me, little brown bear Alexander, at your service. Now, where's that Eagle?
Olorinsesss: *cries*

*beams botle of soy milk up*

soy milk: *refuses to freeze*
olorinses: AHHH! freaky soy milk!!! GET ME OFF HERE!!!!
mf: i will save him! *steps forward* *into cactus*

well, at least i tried...

Oh sure, you tried... about as hard as Derny tries to think of herself as a Duffer...

what art thee taking me for? grievous is thy reply, o sir olorin, for i took thee for a friend, and thou insultest me! aye, 'tis the worst as can happen to a poor soul - that it be abandoned by a friend. o calamity! but there - i will not help thee no more, as is thy wish :(

Thou hast used a negative of duplicity, that which is known in the vulgar speech as "double negative". Therefore I take thy meaning to be that thou shall help me as much as thou art able, without reservation of thy life or limb, until death do halt thee in thy tracks.

as i perceived that i had used in my elaborate speech a negative of duplicity, the thought sprang to my mind that thou wouldst comment on it. but nay, 'twas too great a labour to go back and correct it, therefore i am prepared for thy assault of words. i meant what thou knowest me to mean, thus i stand by my words and silence thee on thy bleak mountain of ice, wizard!

Oh, stop it!

hey, the dutchies are all up early *rubs eyes*

(Oh, very nice. "bleak mountain of ice" has such a nice ring to it.)
(Oh, and Lieke... but it's so much fun! :D)

Nay! For though thou may surround me with walls of iron, even though the very earth do open its maw and swallow me up, never shall my voice cease! Even though thou may stop my mouth with gags and bonds, e'en yet shall my soul continue to speak, and it thou may not silence. Unheard, my voice rings down from the summit of the mountain to the very bowels of the earth, yet thou hast so prejudiced all against my complaints that they turn to me deaf ears. Aye, even Sturdinae, that faithful companion in times of trouble, hath scorned me, and flown off (remembering once again that he possessed wings), subverted by thy councils. And yet I still resist! Never shall I rest until that false traitor, that knave, the Freckled One, hath been silenced and her labours all undone!

*puts Freckles with Olorinsesss on the himalayas without a way off*

Peace, finally... *destroys posts*

Nay! The pen is mightier than the sword, and as a descendant of said pen, so is the keyboard. Let us, therefore, with keyboards and the type which poureth therefrom finish this duel, the victory to go to whomever doth type the faster.

nay, 'tis a fruitless use of my time. for how wouldst thou measure time in the ceaseless spaces of the internet? let us therefore use as a measure the quality of the words and their meaning that, as thou puttest it so prettily, "poureth forth from our keyboards". thou shalt not beat me, for lo! one word alone from my own hands will give the common duffer a frightful headache he shall never forget, and another word and he shall be fully healed. thus is the power of my words, that they may give health and sickness. but so confident am i in my claim that i vow i can give thee, my worthy opponent, a headache with only one word, and take it from thee with another, and gladly shall i prove it to thee. fear not, sir oly, thy headache shall not be of long or dolorous duration.

aspirin.

Ah! I am discouraged. For truly did I develop a headache of such blinding intensity when thou didst mention that... word... that I was truly shocked. And now my pen is fallen, and I am diminished. But wait thee, MF, for I wish to have not a contest of words, but of speed of typing. Wilt thou to this consent?

i ask thee again: how wouldst thou measure the speed of my typing, for thou wouldn't believe me if i told thee that my fingers dance over the keyboard at the speed of lightning and the clicking of the keys is like the galloping of camels over the steppe of arabia :)rolleyes:).

Aye, but mine is even faster, for as the pattering of raindrops during a summer cloudburst doth t sound, and the sound therefrom is of a frequency 15.5Mhz, that being the number of keys per second which I may strike (not, note, 15.5 keys per second, but rather a million times that).

thou art a funny fellow, if thou art trying to make me surrender even before the duel hath begun. but my spirits shall not be dampened by thy swaggering, for i possess a secret weapon, aye, for i know how to use the c and v in ways thy mind could not penetrate, nay, not even scratch the surface of their power. and so i tell thee: ha!:D
