Caspian/ Ramandu's daughter...

I hope it is, too! I LOVE that little bit in their conversation. It's so cute!! :D And I cannot WAIT to see Ben Barnes doing that scene. *SQUEE* Especially in that accent, LOL :D

But, darn! I was wrong about Jack and Joy. Oh, well. It could've been possible

Hey...this has nothing to do w/ the subject...but I read today in the Official PC Movie Guide that Anna P. goes to Magdalen College at Oxford U...which is where Jack studied and taught! It's so awesome...especially b/c when I do a study abroad program in 2 years, I want to go there ^_^

Ya, and I wonder what accent is and face she's going to do when she tells him "my name ain't susan"

XD I bet she'll have a devilish grin on her face, and while she usually talks in a British accent, she'll switch over to a Texasen accent! ''Ma name ain't Susan! Mrrow!'' XD

I personally think that Louis was imagining his dream girl when he wrote about StarGirl! He was imagining a girl surrounded by mystery, enchantingly beautiful yet witty and sharp! I've done that before (no, not imagine dream girls XD) namely make up characters whom I'd like to meet in real life. Or perhaps he thought no one could be good enough for Caspian, so he wrote about a person who's not very well introduced, so we never really find out whether she's good enough or not.

Or maybe he was just tired of writing and didn't feel like making up another charrie. XD

Well, on the "Ramandu's Daughter--Who should play her?" or whatever...thread, I suggested the actress Carey Mulligan. She's very pretty, she's British, she's blonde, and she's a great actress...yeah. LOL But seriously, she really is good. She's been in things like BBC's Bleak House (Ada Clare)--she won an award for her role, BBC's My Boy Jack (Elsie Kipling)--she was AMAZING in that, and Focus Features 2005 version of Pride & Prejudice w/ Keira Knightley (Kitty Bennet). If you want more info, she's on imdb.com. :)

Say...does anyone know who plays Mary in Pride & Prejudice? I always thought it was Anna P., but lately I was watching it and realized it wasn't. :D Also I'm too lazy to find out. Now who else? We've got two P&P actresses...How bout Natalie Portman? Dunno if she's British though....there is Scarlett Johansson as well and Gwyneth Paltrow, though Gwyn might be a little too old...

I'm looking forward to this so much! Mostly because it isn't really developed and I've always wanted a bit more that what was there!!

Um, I doubt that!

It's Talulah Riley, I looked it up for you! :p
If we're going P&P how about Tamzin Merchant? She played Georgiana in the Keira version.

ARE YOU JOKING?! Gwyneth Paltrow!!! No way! She is far to old, and too well known and... she just couldn't!

I just watched P&P the other night, and I was thinking about VODT, and I think (judging from her performance in P&P), Rosamund Pike, the actress who plays Jane would be a good RD. But I think the girl who played Georgiana would be the best, MAYBE, if she grows enough. :)

Well, she's twenty! And that was three years ago, so a person can change a bit in that time! :D

By the by, nice avvy... love Audrey!!!

I would have loved to see that scene, but not anymore. I was one of my favorites but now that Caspian kissed and hugged Susan, it will only look to me like another soap opera. That's what happens when moviemakers get ahead of the story and make stupid changes. Now, it's not as fun anymore. Not even to read it.

He actually talks to her a lot more before he sets out for the last part of the voyage. He even tried a pick up line on her! Yes, he did. He told her:

"In the world from which my friends come" (here he nodded at Eustance and the Pevensies) "they have a story of a prince or a king coming to a castle where all the pople lay in an enchanted sleep. In that sory he could not dissolve the enchantement until he had kissed the Princess."

At this, Ramandu's daughter answered:

"Wooahh, hold your horsies, fast boy! My name ain't Susan!

Sorry, just kidding!!:):) I couln't resist.:D

She answered:
"But here," said the girl, it is different. Here he cannot kiss the Princess till he has dissolved the enchantment."

really? haha...caspian is so adorably dorky, but how she can resist his smouldering telemarine eyes is beyond me. I`d jump him :p

o_O What is with all of theses P&P actresses?!!!! Are ALL of them going to be StarGirl? It's freaky how one movie has all these people we like...

Yes I agree. :D I was only joking. Plus I watched Emma a few nights ago (and although she is butt ugly in that) I was thinking about her when she was younger. XD I figured if we were going to name all these historical-fiction actresses, she should be included.

I would have to argue. It is of course a shame that StarGirl won't be Caspian's first love, but I think that it will add some love-flavor to VoDT. I didn't think of this before, but perhaps while Caspian is doing the love-at-first-sight thing with StarGirl, he will have a flashback of Susan (a cameo for Anna P.!) and then there will be a moment when he finally moves on, and goes to StarGirl. It doesn't have to be corny and dramatic like a soap-opera, it can be noble and serious if directed and written the right way.

i actually hope that in the third movie Susan will somehow be acknowledge or mentioned. before Caspian moves on with someone else...i want them to show that he actually cared and had feelings for Susan bcuz then it would seemed as though what they had was completely pointless.

idk...I don't think they actually had time to get to know each other in the brief time they were together, what with the battle, impending doom, and Peter has that bossy testosterony thing going on...

But Caspian really goes for the older women, no?

Well first of all her name "ain't susan." And second, I don't think she's star-struck tween.

Hello? It WAS pointless.

well some ppl didn't find it pointless at all and actually enjoyed it.

i'm just saying that some ppl may watch the movie and think "? i thought he likes Susan." like what NalsA-AslaN stated, i think itd be cool if they did a flashback scene with Susan..and at that point, Caspian moves on. i just think it'd be weird if they just simply avoid it and have Caspian fall for someone else. it does make him look like a player lol

I totally agree - they have to really work on the 'love-transfer' scene, because if they don't then a lot of people will lose respect for Caspian as a character. In the book he is a good king, an intelligent one who is sincere. It should be the same in the movie, and in real life players are never sincere.

This is you guys' story. This has nothing to do with what Lewis wrote. Now it sounds like a an ABC or CBS soap. It's probably closer to a Mexican soap opera.
Prince Caspian of the book had no need to "move on" cause he had nothing to move away from. Lewis was a classical author, not Danielle Steele.

Maybe it's because they act with elegance in those era of films, and we're wanting that in Stargirl. Funny the mental tracks that our minds get on eh?

Yes I agree. :D I was only joking.
Thank goodness! (Although, I didn't think that she was ugly in that.)

Do remember everyone that three whole Narnian years have passed since PC, that is a lot of time. Especially when you take into consideration all that Caspian would be busy doing as the new king.
No, I don't think that they can ignore it (now that they've botched the whole thing by putting it in in the first place) but I also don't think that they should make a huge deal out of it.

I dunno. I still think the kiss was an indication of Susan's growing superficiality (is that a word??). To me, it was more of a statement on Susan's character as opposed to Su's AND Caspian's characters. I don't think it really defined Caspian at all...it definitely defined a bit about Susan, but not Caspian. Besides, in VDT, it's been 3 Narnian years since PC, so I think he'd be over something so small by then. It looked at the most like a simple crush that is easily conquered ^_^

Can't you all see that this whole thing looks like a Mexican soap opera and not a Chronicle of Narnia now? My goodness!
