Ceagin handed sarah the road map that he had had on his lap, "Hey could you navigate us to our destination?"


Nick stepped on the gas. It didn’t take long before he started to slow down and then finally came to a stop. He got out of the car and walked around to Adina’s side and opened the door. Taking her hand he helped her out of the car. Leading her down something wooden he stopped, “Ok you are going to have to trust me on this one.” He said. “Put your arm around my neck I am going to have to pick you up.”

Sarah looked at the map, then at some street signs. "Okay, take this next right." After the car turned, she looked up ahead. The top of the statue was visible. "You keep going straight until you get to the fish-market. Then you take a left. That'll be in another quarter of a mile. Then we're there." She smiled and folded up the map.
 
Nick couldn't help but laugh, "Don't worry I won't" and with that he slipped his arms around her waist and under her legs and stepped onto something rather shaky. "ok sit here." he said as he set her down. "hold on." he turned the ignition and the motor started up there was a sound of gurgling water and then they sped up.

"thanks" Ceagin said as he took another corner, "I hope we get there on time to catch the barge."
 
"no not quite." Nick started to slow down and then the boat came to a copleate stop. nick walked over to Adina and removed the scraf. "there that is one of the greatest views of New york." he said.
 
"yah." Nick said gazing at the lights flickering off the water, "I's a side of new york most people miss." Nick took a deep breath adn placed his hand ofer Adina's. if she didn't respond he would know to back off. He mentally crossed his fingers.

"Yeah. But even if we don't, just seeing her is nice." She laughed a little at her comment.

Ceagin smiled. this would be a test for him. The Lady liberty was everythign but liberating for him. "Ah we made it on time." he said as they pulled up to the pay booth.

Sarah was very glad they made it. She got out of the car and looked at the statue fondly. Then she followed Ceagin up to pay.
 
Adina looked at Nick, she smiled. "Yeah, I imagine most people would miss it, thank you for bringing me." she looked at Nick for a minute, then kissed him on the cheek, she looked away.
 
Nick sat startled for a moment then laced hi9s fingers through hers, "Adina, this may be too early but...I really like you as more than jsut a friend. I mean I know I have only known you fro two days but...I really like you." He couldn't help but hold his breath as he waited for her answer.

Adina stared at him for a minute, she looked down at there hands, she didn't know what to say. After a minute she looked back up at him, "I like you to Nick, I like you alot."

Nick smiled. His heart was racing, pounding so loudly he was sure she could hear it. He didn’t know what exactly to say. He felt like he was a Jr, Higher that had just got the courage to tell his first crush that he liked her. It was deeper than that but he felt stupid no knowing how to respond. He was 22 for heaven sake! “Adina I have something for you.”
he said reaching into a small bag that he must have brought with him, “Here. He handed her a flat back velvet box. “Well open it.”

Sarah nodded. She still couldn't help feeling something was wrong. "That's cool. Did you have a good time?"
 
Ceagin smiled as they got on the barge and he waited till both Sara and Kiera were on before replying, "Yah I did. A really good time." that was the truth but a pang of heart ace shot through him. he pushed it away, not now. He thought
